There's still a few things left to do for our DIY Patio Makeover in my Backyard! I'm sharing my best Small Patio Ideas, we're cleaning up the Patio Furniture, working on some Decorating Ideas, and choosing Decor that will work well for Summer Entertaining. Just an idea - I buy a box of rubber gloves in coles' supermarket, which I use for gardening and cleaning. So when I can't get to my garden gloves, there's those❤

Wow, Megan, the frig with all the yummy drinks & chips on top is awesome. That's so good you took out the mint, i know we had it when move to our new home, I like it at first, but it was all over. I finally dug it all up & got rid of it, that was a job & 1/2 to do. But you got yours contain now. I love the other flowers, the new basket on the door! The cart takes it up a notch. Yes! Mint will take over!! I didn't know that and I planted it in my yard. It was hard to get rid of it. Lesson learned.

Love how your patio has become. Great idea to have a mini fridge on outdoor. You need to get saucers to put underneath your potted plants on your table, or your table will get ruined by the water.

Don't be scared of mint plants. Yes, they grow vigorously, so keep them in pots. You can rip them up and repot, treat badly and they will grow - they are tough. I thought the pole planters were a great spot for them. Loving your outdoor furniture.

The patio looks great!!! If the citronella doesn't need to be re-potted just paint the rim of the pot white, then it won't be so noticeable.

It’s okay to admit that you don’t know something & to change it around when solid advice is given to you. There’s plenty of projects I complete & choices I make for my home that other people don’t agree with that I just ignore. But sometimes the advice is sound, and it’s okay to acknowledge that & make a change. 😊

Mint and their friend chives are invasive. So potting them is an easy way to stop that. Plus keep them in their pot and use them as a perennial. Saves money. Great patio!

I’m right there with you Megan! That I don’t have a green thumb either and if I ever do any gardening to help my mom out I’ll just eyeball it or just do as she says lol. Everything looks so pretty the flowers 💐 I keep telling my parents they need to have a mini refrigerator outside on our deck it would be perfect so we don’t have to keep going in and out of the house! Have a rest week! 💜

Nice video. Two suggestions: Bring those Bang drinks into the kitchen fridge, The last thing you need is the wrong kid or adult grabbing one of those to drink with the wrong effects of double caffeine! Also please bring the snack basket inside nightly, You don't want to draw raccoons or mice to your backyard patio!

We are very fortunate that our kids don’t even try to touch the bang energy drinks, and we are not responsible for any side effects that an adult might have. I have no anxieties about leaving them in the outdoor fridge

I HATE dirt to. Growing up in Arizona was hard. Love how everything turned out. Mint is so good for some many things. We always had one in the backyard when I was little. I sucked my thumb (clean or dirty) and it helped get rid of canker sores in my mouth. My momma would give me a clean leaf to put on the inside of my lip while I slept and it was gone the next day.

If the green bugs you too much, you could always paint it or glue small pebbles/glass rock around the rim. I add two small goldfish containers around my deck, got the idea from Ms.Brenda Grant from Alabama, help combat mosquitoes. It is working so good! Looks good. Have a great Summer

The first pot with the plant already in it's pot inside the other one is correct you must have a hole in pot for drainage🇨🇾

I made the mistake of planting mint in one of my large containers…..I had to replace all of the soil…because the mint roots were crazy!

I would say leave the citronella plant in the pot. It will thrive in the original pot. Repotting it could possibly give it unnecessary shock and it may not thrive like you want it to.
