They dont need roman blinds etc as they have triple glazed windows. The windows have Venetian blinds inside the panes which can be dropped down and closed. These are rarely used because they are obsessed with light......😊

Love Scandi but want to use various antiques I've inherited or bought over the years.. Do they fit in??
@suzieandersonhome3 жыл бұрын
Hi Marie! Thank you for your comment. Yes Antiques and vintage pieces definitely are seen in Scandinavian style, and are what help add character and timelessness. You may find this video we did on incorporating Antique and unique pieces helpful if you haven't watched it already kzbin.info/www/bejne/kKfHhaCsiN5og5o Thank you xx

So, (apologies for starting this sentence in this way), are the high street furniture stores around the world, currently, mostly being influenced by Scandi design? Just curious, as although I love watching your videos, I'm pretty clueless re. origins of design, etc. Always beautiful examples in your work. Thanks!

Hello K T! Scandinavian/Danish design is definitely a strong design inspiration for many homewares and furniture stores of today... typically stores that cater to a larger demographic, as the pieces are simple, streamlined and minimal. While I do enjoy this style, I lean more towards the Swedish antiques which have more character in my opinion. My personal taste, and what we focus on in our store is a few contemporary pieces, with antique, vintage and unique items that tell a story. Are you currently renovating your home? xx

Another great video. Even though most of this isn't my style, this is beautiful, and I learned several tips about selection and arrangement. BTW- backwards books are a trend for people who don't read, and people who do read grind their teeth when they see it. So backwards books is a massive fail in design. I've only seen it online, because it looks sooooo smooooth. But if I actually walked into a room where someone did that, I would immediately think they were vacuous. So "beige" to put your books backwards, but do know if any educated person sees your room they will think you are a moron. But your choice, I guess.

Hi Nickelini, thank you for sharing your perspective as always! I enjoy reading different peoples preferences and opinions :) I personally enjoy both. I am happy you learnt some tips about selection and arrangement xx
