You should try the brush strat to grind a lot of trainer points really quickly. You select the brush, then as soon as you begin put the system into sleep mode, and once you open it, quit out. This will give you an absurd amount of trainer points. Thanks for speed running this game, I was hoping someone would do it!

As a guy who has over 34 dogs and cats (we rescue a lot of animals) I can say from experience that training cats takes almost no effort whatsoever when you do it right. Most people who claim cats are distant, cold or disobedient either never had a cat or had one and just expected them to be completely independent because of that myth. Seriously, it's a lot easier to train 4 cats than it is to train 3 dogs.

When he was resetting his own game my heart broke a lil' bit. I take my virtual pet lives way too seriously lol. At least him resetting it was cut from the video. xD I'm okay with resets in the speedrun aspect where the dogs are named a single letter and it doesn't even match, but dude that was your first Nintendog pupper. I'd be the sentimental type that would buy a different cartridge to do this. Heck, I'd probably need to make sure that there wasn't a previous save so I wouldn't be deleting someone else's puppers. I'm way too sentimental about my 1s and 0s, man. But seriously though, the entire bit with Abby was hilarious. 10/10 content.

TIP: When training your Nintendog Obedience commands, getting the command exactly the same every time you teach a new one AND having commands being completely different from each-other to prevent the game getting confused. While spending WAAAY too long as a kid playing Nintendogs, I eventually mastered the Obedience and it' was one of my favorite competitions. I use these commands such as these: SiiIIt = Sit DD = Down Spinnnnn = Spin Dogs never get confused for me. I always hated the disk competitions, you have to train them for SO long for it to be reliable and usually get booted out the park before you are ready to leave.

My favourite parts of playing Nintendogs: - When the little dogs suddenly learned how to run really fast so you could finally play excellent runs of agility and frisbee. - Finding rare items like the piano whilst out for a run. - When your dog would make friends with another dog whilst out on a run. - Running out the timer at the park whilst playing with other dogs you wished you could get. - Finally having a full walking bar so you could take the longest walk imaginable to visit all question marks and shops. - Unlocking the premium dog food and treats. - Earning enough money from competitions to buy a new, cool living space (always dreaming of that beach or space room) - Finally teaching your dog beg after a million failed attempts. - Your dog sitting for the full 10 seconds netting you great points in obedience. - Getting the unbelievably fun helicopter toy and teasing your dogs with it.

You could save some time by using a DS/DS Lite since the 3DS Home Menu takes a while to load on every reset. On the DS you can change a setting to skip the menu and immediately boot into the game after each reset. (Great video as usual!)

You can just press L+R+Start+Select to soft reset a DS game. It works on 3DS too and skips going back to the home menu.

I appreciate Ant won't see this as the video is 3 months old at this point. But I really hope he wasn't discouraged by the performance of this video. I literally just started watching SmallAnt after the BD 17 minute speedrun (apart from the occasional collab with someone else) and this video caught my eye and I thought it was hilarious! I put it in my favourites playlist (remember that default playlist?), his personality super carried and I got so hyped by the digital dogs doing things. I realise 1 million views is insane, but comparing with his other videos it's definitely on the lower end of the spectrum, which I think is a massive shame because I think it slaps SO hard and I just hope SmallAnt is proud of it.
