I have tried a lot of the popular drop shot worms but my go to for the past 3 years has been the reins bubbling shaker. It’s an amazing bait with great action and stands strait out on the hook. I would definitely recommend buying a few packs in your favorite sizes and colors to try.

Another great video, Travis. I throw a lot of Roboworm stuff; love Aaron’s Magic, Prism Shad, Morning Dawn, and a bunch more get time. I also really like the Missile craw as a powershot bait, as well as their Fuse 4.4 for both largemouth and smallness. I also use a bunch of baits you mentioned.

I'm glad I subbed to your channel man now I'm bindge watching and learning a ton. Thanks for taking the time to share the wealth of knowledge. And definitely the zoom finesse worm and the robo worm. Green pumpkin, watermelon seed and morning dawn. I learned to use yellow power pro with a floro leader from Gary Yamamoto. It helps to see the line and gives amazing sensitivity. I'm like you, 80% of the time I'm drop shotting. There's thick cover in the Guadalupe so most of the time I use a 1/0 offset worm hook to keep it weedless. I try to keep an exposed hook but tying a leader on when I get snagged gets old lol

Stay away from ball type weights. Use the cylinder type weights he uses in the vid. Keep your rod tip shoulder to eye level and FEEL your way through the rocks

Also tie them on directly not just clinch them on. Sometimes by tieing you can pull a bit harder.

What brand fluoro do you use and how do you match up the strengths? For example if your using 12 lb fluoro leader what strength braid are you using for the main line?

I use a variety of Fluoro...I like Gamma, Bass Pro Shops 100% and Sunline. I don't think you can go wrong with those brands. My mainline is either 5lb braid or 10lb braid. and I use anywhere from 4-12 lb flouro on those lines. The higher flouro leader like 10 and 12 is mostly on my 10lb braid rods.

Yamamoto 4 inch cut tail worms. Standard colors and merthiolate. 4 inch Senko's including bubblegum pink on occasion. Wacky and nose hooked. Gammy drop shot hooks all the way.

What is the distance between your hook and weight usually when dropshotting?

6-12 inches for largemouth and I have gone up to 2 feet for smallmouth on a regular basis and as long as 8 foot at times for suspended fish

I was never able to find someone to mass produce those. Best bet is to contact someone who ties marabou jigs and ask them to tie the fly on your favorite drop shot hook.

I have used it for largemouth on beds in the past and it does work real well....I mostly think of that bait as a goby imitator bait and works great for smallmouth of course.
