Absolutely! Ex commercial guy here from a multi-generation boating family. My grandfather couldn't say "yachtsman" without a snarl in his voice, but we ALL were delighted when we saw a boat owner practicing boat handling at a wharf to build their skills.

I wouldn't do that dragging a dinghy like they are. He's lucky he has as much crew as he does. I am always trying to do something like this with only maybe 2 of us aboard, and always in a current. I'd also only try it with bow or stern thruster (or both).
@DriveSafeDon9 күн бұрын
Obviously, the owner of that boat knows what he’s doing. He even had his two crew on the bow for back up. Total experience is a great thing to have on any size boat and this captain has it. Well done. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

@@DriveSafeDon we train many new owners who have never driven a boat of any size before. You might be surprised at what is not innate or common sense. But! they are smart enough to know they will benefit from a professional training Captain.

We do not disagree that it would be nice to always have filters on our videos. But you might not understand that we don’t always set out to video for KZbin. In fact, most of what we capture is bonus from our time training aboard with a client. When you DON’T hear the wind then we had a “cat” on the mic to muffle. But when training we try to make our filming as unobtrusive for the student trying to learn. (No film crew either usually just me, the training captain). Hope you still saw something of value on our daily posts.
