Adrien WILL Get Akumatized Again (And Why That's A Good Thing)

It’s pretty clear amongst the fanbase that Season 5 of Miraculous didn’t exactly favour the beloved Adrien Agreste. It quite frankly slaughtered his character and made him out to be a pathetic wimp with no agency. Now truth be told, this video could largely be a copium rant, inventing a storyline where we could actually get some kind of band-aid and justification for what happened at the finale. That’s it really. But just for a minute imagine this storyline. I think it’s pretty good and maybe, just maybe has a chance of happening. We’ve been surprised before! (Felix anyone?) So who knows?! Ok lemme say this, I WAS disappointed when Cat Blanc was revealed to be a time episode but it's not a bad episode at all. It has more detailing, seriousness and depth than any episode put together. Ephemeral on the other hand is extremely unwatchable to the point where I watched it only twice.

As a person who likes the show, I am also on board to seeing Adrien learning the truth about his father resulting in an akumatisation because of all the lies. Like you said any normal person would feel angry, distraught, sad, frustrated and confused if they are lied to and kept in the dark. I just hope that Astruc understands that and doesn't come up with some dumb stupid reason why Adrien would not feel that way. "Oh because he's a senti-monster that means he isn't really a normal person..." I want to see a reaction to this realisation PLEASE Astruc!!! Bro. My ideal plot line for where this should go, is that Adrien gets to know the truth by someone telling him or him finding it out himself transforms into chat noir and Cataclysms that Gabriel Agreste Statue because we ALL know for sure that Gabriel does not deserve to be called a hero. Adrien renounces his Miraculous knowing that the one person he is close friends to him as lied to his face about his father (I'm talking about Ladybug) vowing to never work for a liar like Ladybug again and then he gets akumatised by Lila. I feel like Lyla will use Marinette's lie to Adrien as the catalyst to akumatise him. A perfect way to stir up their relationship even after he's deakumatised and have them split up at least temporarily. In the mean time, he consults Marinette (as herself) and lies that Cat Noir told him the truth, which then causes Marinette (as Ladybug) to get frustrated at Cat Noir for exposing her lie, creating an even bigger divide between them. Then when Marinette (as ladybug) is most vunerable, he can save her. They later work out their differences and team up to take down Lyla. It's a poorly executed setup that I think will pay off in the season they beat Lyla.

I want his akuma persona/power to be to turn people into porcelain dolls. Very “sit still look pretty,” because that’s what everyone has done to him and how they see him. It’s also a smart power in that porcelain dolls can have accessories, like jewelry, and so it’s an akuma that can actually claim the miraculouses if he gets you, while you’re helpless as an EXTREMELY breakable, non-moving display piece. You don’t just vanish or go into a picture. Through in his acting ability and he could totally double cross Lila and steal Marinette’s villain from her the way she soloed Gabe while he was sidelined in London. There’s your Chad moment. And you said in another video that the akumas dress themselves, Adrian could go with the most low key transformation if they established that he Already Sees Himself As A DOLL! He keeps the same look, just with weird joints, and maybe extra shiny skin. People wouldn’t even realize he’s been akumanized because he’s already hot and walks around with a painted smile. Imagine how terrifying and effective he could be in this scenario. You know, as long as they don’t nerf him with Agrest Smooth Brain Syndrome. Assuming they even do in the first place.😔

OKAY I HAVE A REALLY COOL BUT MIGHT BE STUPID IDEA. What if his power is giving the victim constant schizophrenic attacks. But they can still move around causing them to do stuff like jump on fake buildings, and try to save people who aren’t real or aren’t needing help. So while his friends and family gave Adrien a make believe fantasy world where nothing bad happened he does the same thing where they don’t know what’s real. And the schizophrenia is constant and can even make the victim not see things and always hear voices. I just thought of that idea and I’m very proud of it.

You know what? Let him cook. I think Marinette getting akumatized HAS to happen because of the reveal. At this point we’ve gotten THREE semi-successful reveals where it’s a happy moment between them and all is well before someone else ruins it and resets everything. A Marinette gets Akumatized because of all her lies and secrets finally getting out (of her own volition or not) is exactly what needs to happen for her character. Ignoring some of the shows cringey writing with her characterization, she’s Just a “normal girl with a normal life” who had literally had to hold up the fate of the UNIVERSE since she was 14, having to regulate her negative emotions to an insane degree in order to not crumple under that pressure and accidentally make things worse by getting akumatized. Not to mention that the only adult in her life who knew her secret and was supposed to be mentoring her got his memory WIPED and the same thing WILL happen to her one day. She is a ticking time bomb of stress, guilt, and anger. I think that’s what the fans need, and I think for extra tension it needs to be a finale where her role as the guardian, and therefore her memories, are at stake.

Marinette literally makes so much mistakes and she has to pay the consequences for them. Key examples being the finale of both season 3 and season 4. In season 3, marinette's jealousy caused her to give the miraculous to kagami instead of chloe to prevent the adrigami ship, this in turn left to chloe betraying ladybug, all the holders identities being revealed, master fu retiring, hawkmoth gaining access to the translated grimoire, and her being placed as the guardian of the miraculous. Season 4 on the other hand, her love for adrien and her constantly sidelining cat noir caused her to lose all the miraculous. :/. I don't really get what you are trying to say here? Maybe its that Marinette doesn't make mistakes? Which is clearly false, I have so many examples of her making mistakes and the consequences for it.

I think you're right in part. Adrien will be the first person Lila akumatises in the upcoming special. Because he's the most grieved over his father dying for something he saw as his mission - taking out Monarch. So sad at dad's departure, and mad he didn't prevent it as Cat Noir. Lila wouldn't turn that down, when he's the boyfriend she can mess Marinette up with. Only it doesn't go to plan, and Lila learns never to target Adrien again.

Make a two part episode at the beginning of season 6, where Lila reveals the truth about Gabriel, making Adrien get akumatized, and when Adrien gets de-akumatized, he doesn’t apologize to Marinette like Kagami did in perfection. Adrien quits working with Marinette, taking the cat miraculous with him and either joining Lila or going off by himself and going against both of them. During the rest of season six, all of the other heroes and Paris civilians start to abandon her. And at the end of the season, Marinette is abandoned by everyone around her, making her get akumatized, leading off to season 7. If they can't even do something as simple as that, or anything actually decent, there's no hope for this show

I would love for them to akumatise marinette but she's so perfect and pure that the show would never allow it. Marinette's akumatisation would have to happen when Alya has the earrings for whatever reason- Alya offers/insists Marinette let Scarabella take care of Paris for a little while because she needs to relax, or she can't even spend any time with Adrien anymore because Lila has run them so ragged. I think also Luka should just *admit* he knows who Cat Noir is so Adrien has a confidant, it's so dumb that he can't have one. An episode where both Alya and Luka have the Ladybug and Cat Miraculouses where Marinette gets akumatised due to the misunderstanding you mentioned where she thinks Adrien is breaking up with her, and Adrien *can't help her* because Luka has his Miraculoous would be so... pleasing to the fandom I think? Adrien deserves so much more from this show. Him getting spotlight doesn't negate Marinette.

That’s right. Marinette/Ladybug’s character got all the glory while Adrien got pushed to the sidelines, even though the villain they were fighting was his father! Adrien became nothing more than a love interest for Marinette. His father being the villain, he and Felix being senti monsters, Adrien wanting freedom, there was so much buildup centered around Adrien that the writers did absolutely nothing with in the end in favor of Ladybug/Marinette!

I want Lila/Cerise to tell Adrien the whole truth, which would be interesting since she’d be telling the truth for once while revealing that Ladybug was the liar this time. This would also create a new dynamic for the love square: adrienette are dating and in love while ladynoir are enemies

Honestly I thought season 6 would end with Marinette getting akumatized for the pure shock value. I did not think about how Chat Noir could be that event that leads up to it as a mid season or even close to end arc. That’s a whole other realm of possibilities where the heroes have to bring down their leaders. Or even more…what if Adrian’s amok cracks and Lila gets one half of the miraculouses and they have to retrieve it to make a wish. Maybe it leads to them learning each others identities. Something that makes Lila an even greater threat than Gabriel. You have seemingly unlocked a lot of potential thoughts for a good Season 6. Color me excited. Then again I still planned on watching because it’s one of my guilty pleasures where I don’t analyze all the bad choices and see the positives so who knows?!

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I actually like Ephemeral better than Chat Blanc. The story is just better, in my opinion. As opposed to Adrien loving Marinette right away because he learns she's Ladybug, I found it interesting and sweet to see Marinette learn to love Chat Noir as a part of Adrien and recognize those sides of him.

Personally I like the idea and think it would finally get the show back to good. Personally I think if they do have the both akumatized they could have either them remain in control and use the Miraculous for evil or have the kwamis take them as they're akumatized and then give them to someone else. Have an episode where Alya and Nino become Miraculous holders. Heck with them now permanent holders of their own Miraculous have them unify and use that to take them both down.

Honestly....I want to see what would happen of adrien got akumatized and did a wish that reversed the wish but fixed his mom and dad and everyone but at the cost of himself....like what happens if he snaps out of existence? What if he gets controlled by someone who gets his ring? What if we see adrien akumatizedcwhere he is actually allowed to get angry and grieve hjs family properly? Or what if he isn't even made about nari not telling him but finds out that nathalie knew?

Ngl, I hope Adrien gets Akumatized. That is smth I need in my lifeee. I want to see him either obsessed or mad at Marinette similar to Cat Blanc. Our boi has been through the ringer these last 3 seasons so him being akumatized and actually being given at least 5 minutes of screen time expressing his anger or sadness will be very enjoyable compared to the writers pathetic attempts to make Marinette seem flawed 🙄. I love Mari and all that but u falling down, obsessing over ppl and not using ur brain are not legitimate flaws.

You know what? Let him cook. I think Marinette getting akumatized HAS to happen because of the reveal. At this point we’ve gotten THREE semi-successful reveals where it’s a happy moment between them and all is well before someone else ruins it and resets everything. A Marinette gets Akumatized because of all her lies and secrets finally getting out (of her own volition or not) is exactly what needs to happen for her character and the show, otherwise it’d just be too repetitive. Ignoring some of the show’s cringey writing with her characterization, she’s Just a “normal girl with a normal life” who literally had the fate of the UNIVERSE on her shoulders since she was 14. Having to regulate her negative emotions to an insane degree during puberty and high school in order to not crumple under that pressure and accidentally make things worse by getting akumatized. Not to mention that the only adult in her life who knew her secret and was supposed to be mentoring her got his memory WIPED, and the same thing WILL happen to her one day. She is a ticking time bomb of stress, guilt, and anger. I think that’s what the fans need, and I think for extra tension it needs to be a finale where her role as the guardian, and therefore her memories, are at stake. I feel like that has to be addressed, and Adrien finally truly understanding Marinette and talking her off the ledge is the kind of angst the fandom will eat up.

I think Chat Blanc is going to be coming back eventually. Marinette has already had a nightmare about it before and continues to worry about it. Adrien had a nightmare about it at the end of season 5 well he was facing his father as well as when he was locked up. There's no way the writers would put that in if they weren't hinting at doing another episode of Chat Blanc. It just has too much potential.
