Am I Delusional Or Could Chloe Actually Get A Redemption Arc?

No don’t roll your eyes, this isn’t a lazy “I tHiNk ThIs NeXt sEaSoN cHlOe WiLl Be ReDeEmEd” video with absolutely no basis other than to rage bait viewers on this botched storyline. There was actually a recent upgrade to the official Miraculous website where it gives little bits of information on characters biographies. And they changed a pretty inflammatory once that is reminiscent of an Astruc Twitter rampage to a far more level headed kind-of-obvious character analysis a lot of us have been ranting about for years. Could this be a sign for changes to come? Probably not, but let’s cope anyway! Enjoy.

Her own father rejected her and took in the half sister that isn't his, and forced to go alone with her abusive mother. I know she wasn't a good person...but Chloe didn't deserve that ending. I think she deserves a redemption personally, but she factually just deserved a better ending in general. Whether she comes back as the bee holder or not. But with Astruc not being as hands on for the show anymore, I do hope she get's something better (cause he obviously wouldn't let them change the official bio for the character he has a rage you know what for)

They don't _need_ to have a full on redemption, but they should DEFINITELY make her more of an anti-hero than a villain. Portraying her as unforgiveable is wrong, but saying that all of her flaws can be fixed is _also_ wrong. The best way to show it would be for her to still be flawed and make selfish decisions, but she's improving. THAT would be the healthiest and most mature way to portray it. You may not be able to entirely remove your flaws, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't at least _try_ to do better.

One of my favorite zoe concept/idea is that she's secretly evil and idk wants to do classic villain things because according to the show, a hero/villain's costume reflect a small glimpse to a true part of themselves (example is cat noir having a bell cuz him being silly is his true self and maybe even ladybug having such a basic costume cuz she doesn't know what her true self actually is but then getting a costume change in season 4, etc.)and the fact that zoe's hero form looks more like a wasp than a bee......(Wasp are generally more hostile to most things they also invade bee hives and idk I'm too lazy to research all I know os that wasps suck). We could also play in to the fact that zoey is known to be a good actor so.....what if she's just fooling ppl by pretending to be good? I knkw it's obviously not going to happen but hey it's a really nice fanfiction idea. :D

The only way I see this happening, is if Chloe like Zoe gets bullied by a new group of friends and realises she messed up big time. Like, say she attends a new school in New York and gets bullied for her dumbness (sense Sabrina did her home/school work since Kindergarten). Chloe not liking said outcome could seek help from a guidance counsellor, only to find out she needs a mathematician. Frustrated she goes into a rampage and screams into say Fiona’s face letting all of her emotions spill out at once… Fiona feeling a sense of trauma in Chloe insists she sit down in her comfort chair… when asked why… she then exclaims that she had a similar experience with a girl named Zoe Lee. After pressing Chloe for (approximately) 4/5 minutes Chloe finally lowers her guard and spills the tea about her life back in Paris. A few months later Chloe at long last has found peace in her miserable life and improved her grades on her own accord. Audrey asking Chloe if she has improved in her studies she replies with a silent nod and returns to her meal, she then continues saying how she must travel back to Paris for her line of work. Chloe not wanting to go back yet, starts crying admitting how she likes her new school, only for Audrey to cut her off arguing how she complained non stop for weeks. Chloe’s mention of Fiona makes Audrey burst of laughter with her pointing out how she is too old for Chloe and she has a friend in Sabrina back home, before stating they leave at 6pm sharpe. Chloe angered by this lashes out at Audrey accusing her of being a ridiculous excuse for a mother! Before rushing upstairs and slamming her bedroom door. Feeling guilty for leaving Fiona, she hurries to the store to buy her a gift, only to discover she had been transferred to a different school up north. Determined she hires a taxi and politely asks the driver to take her to New York High School. Fiona surprised to see her embraces Chloe with open arms, but soon let’s her go when she starts crying again. Asking what is troubling Chloe? She takes her inside the office. Chloe still feeling guilty hands her the gift slowly, answering her question tears rolling down her cheeks. Fiona feeling guilty for leaving Chloe tells her it will be okay, before giving her a small token of her gratitude (her mood ring). When asked about it Fiona explains, “every time you feel alone, angry, or stressed… always remember you have one friend who will never give up on you Chloe.” Thankful Chloe, nods and hugs Fiona back promising to never take it off. I know I can write too much for some people, but I feel this would be the perfect way to start Chloe’s TRUE redemption ark. After all, “If you want to be loved, first you gotta love yourself” and sometimes it only takes one person to help you see the light.

He basically had her killed in Miracle Queen, and replaced with a clone that was an absolute monster, because he couldn't stand how popular she was becoming amongst the fandom. Thomas Austruc confirmed on Twitter that Chloe will NEVER change. He will never give her a redemption. Fun Fact: Thomas Austruc didn't work on season 2, where Chloe started to change. He returned to work on season 3, and she became the villain in the finale (which it should have been Lila in my own opinion).

Beelieve it or not, Thomas Astruc IS the problem concerning Chloe Bourgeois. What he fails to realize that some fans LOVE Chloe. In his state of mind, all he sees of her is "irredeemable"/blah-blah-blah... Prior to the heel-face-heel turn, fans were hopeful Chloe gets to shine and be a better person, whether as Queen Bee or herself. Is Chloe perfect? NO... Neither are the rest of the Miraculous characters, especially the main duo. Yes, she should be held accountable for her past actions/mistakes, and she deserved the taste of her own medicine for the pain she caused to her (former) classmates, but we know deep down, she needs help and unfortunately, she won't get it from anyone, since most have ditch/turn their backs on her. In spite of how she's been written as since that season 3 downfall from grace, she deserves genuine character development and redemption. Thomas has the power to make it possible... Question is will he listen to the fans (of Chloe)? I hope for her fans' sake that she be redeemed. I have an idea for a redemption arc! In London Chloe discovers a miraculous of "wasp" she goes to paris and just like Volpina pretends to be the part of the team, in the final battle she and lila have a plan, BUT she doesn't go by the plan and helps her team to get the win, Felix and Kagami meanwhile were playing with lila al along to (that's why they become friends in s5) and betrayed her too, and there's the fight! 😃

I'll admit I forgot how exactly the kwagatamas work, but I've been imagining an episode where the heroes get to speak to prior users of their miraculouses, either because everyone gets kwagatamas or because some villain triggers heroes to get trapped inside their miraculouses or something. It may be cool to see Vesperia interacting with a Queen Bee who doesn't know just how bad her actions are in the future. Although that would just be redemption for the reunion reflection of Queen Bee, not the real Chloe. Though overall, I think a premise like that could lead to a lot of character exploration and lore, a lot more than just "Look, the hologram of Chloe feels bad for her actions! Maybe the real Chloe can/could have be redeemed!" It could show us some of the unnamed heroes illustrated in the Grimoire or something.

I doubt it. Not only would it basically go against the story to start giving her a new chance of redemption now after having shown how less she tries to earn it after Astruc took over again, it would also go completly against everything the "heroes" are standing for and their stance towards her. Chloe had the chance to become a great and interesting character, but that was before Astruc's return. And now, there is no way how to redeem her without either fully destroying her character or by making her another one of Marinette's "yes" underdogs.

It's a bit odd that they do still actively produce and sell Queen Bee merch (at least here in the americas). Who knows maybe Zoe is a senti and gets dusted to spark Chloe's real redemption? Probably not... Almost definitely not. But I still find it weird that they're leaning into Queen Bee more as the THE Bee miraculous wielder when Chloe's ship has long since sailed, sunk, and somehow spontaniously combusted.

I think the possibility of Chloe’s character changing direction will be dependent of how involved Astruc will be from season 6 onwards. They have said that there will be some changes to his role on the creative team from the next series; so there may be a possibility of some changes going forward that Astruc wouldn’t pick. Honestly this might be the first case where studio meddling with a creatives vision might actually be to the shows benefit.

This is the same show that gave Felix, Andre, and Gabe redemptions when, arguably, they didn’t deserve it as quickly as they did(especially Gabe) I wouldn’t mind it as long as it can work and have it make sense. However, that all comes down to the overall writing and who can work on it. Astruc has massive hate towards Chloe and does everything he can to ensure everyone knows it, even if it is done to death and blatantly obvious.

Movie Chloe is definitely a lot closer to season 1 Chloe from the show in the best possible way. She's popular she's spoiled she has top status but she chooses to bully Marinette because Marinette has potential to be popular if she gains confidence in herself, so when marionette becomes ladybug she starts to get that confidence and stand up for herself against Chloe, which makes Chloe irritated but impressed. So hopefully in the movie version they'll be more of frenemies.

The explanation for Zoé is just weird…there’s no logical way of explaining such a conception other than “to replace Chloé”. Of course there are spoiled brats who feel entitled to it all but the more they are humbled, the more their POV expands. If you wanted an irredeemable person, there’s Lila. Her lies are weak but she’s more of a threat than Chloe since she’s like a chameleon and can turn people against the heroes. My expectations are low that way I won’t be disappointed.

She could. If the writers and producers at the end of season 5 went "ok what worked and what sidnt" and actually look at feedback they might revisit Chloe's arc and try make it work again. But if they do, I'll just roll my eyes. It would just prove that the events thst happen in this show and the shallow personalities of the characters are easily subject to the whims of the writers and what they want instead of the writers building on the actual characters themselves
