@@ayar2 Only half true. While you don't rely on being able to break the shield, you rely on the pressure charge shot gives because the opponent know it CAN break their shield if they mess up. And shielding it still put you at a disadvantage knowing that your shield is almost worthless. That pressure is 100% gone now. Just shield it. No problems.

There aren't that many moves he'd slip out of, so it's not a major game-changing nerf in the long run. Bayo Smash 4 pre-1.1.5 had a similar phenomenon where tether grabs could slip between her legs during her shielding animation, so they made her legs more closer together.

It does far more than that. It streamlines her options. Half the reason that damage could be stacked in the first place was because your opponent had to make a choice that didn't include camping in shield. Now all my Samus matches are like this... my opponent runs and hangs around mid range, abusing shield. The moment I come in for a throw, they either jump or dodge. Considering Samus has trash recovery for her throw, it is an easy way to throw away a stock. This series of changes was one of the worst I have ever seen. Oh and Pichu is still nearly impossible to hit after certain moves. Especially with certain characters. *for example Ganon literally swings through her now at the end of some of her aerials.* So this patch is setting the bar as low as I can possibly state here.

@@shadowbubbleMC No, this change was definitely made because people were complaining about projectiles. Samus had arguably the most "fair" projectile game, the projectiles were heavily telegraphed and easy to see coming, but hit really hard if you didn't react fast enough. Samus was amazing against people who don't know how to counter projectiles, but had a heavy disadvantage against people who DO know how to counter projectiles. Now she is gimped, all she can do now is hope that the enemy DOESN'T shield her shots, which isn't how Samus was meant to be played. She was the Shield Breaker of ranged characters, that was her whole gimmick that made her unique, and now it's gone because of a blanket projectile nerf. Samus wasn't the only character who didn't deserve to be nerfed, either. Villager didn't really need these changes, nor did Palutena. I can only hope that these changes are semi-reverted, or that they buff the characters that obviously didn't need to be nerfed.

I hate that they stripped Daisy's one difference away. It's as if she's here but not here at the same time. This is one of the most disappointing things about smash ultimate. I'm all for echo fighters but at least give them REAL differences. The clones in this game are easily the worst ones yet. Daisy wasn't different enough to begin with. I feel like she should be more like Peach's answer to Doc, being the heavier hitter with maybe more of an aggressive playstyle. It's cliche but it works in Daisy's case particularly. I'm not sure what you could do with Richter. Maybe the other way around, to shake it up. Chrom and Ken are the only two good ones in ultimate because they're blatantly somewhat different.

I mean you want them to get out of shield so you can hit them with your projectiles or what? The only reason you should have a problem with less shield damage on projectiles is if you are over half the stage away spamming projectiles. If you are in there face and they shield a projectile, grab them. Shield damage doesn't even matter in that situation. This change only really matters for people who spam projectiles. Best change they have made so far to ultimate.

His jab and side tilts and neutral air attack do less shield pressure his side smash his fucking metal blade that's used to damage shield because he's not a rush down character. I cant remember but I think his pellets have very little if at all stun in his jab. Leaf shield, crash bomber all less shield pressure. Leaf shield cancel is gone. God hates real projectiles users.

Samus's jab is godtier just use jab 1 as a hip check and jab 2 if they are still there without shielding. Do jab 1 into literally anything. Ftilt dtilt grab uptilt great jab

In theory it maybe possible to pressure with jab 1 cancels but opponents strongest option for the jab strings is holding shield. being that many of samus moves is punishable on block, and easier to pressure with other moves than jabs, i think its a bad move

For inkling, you can slow down movement by letting go of the stick. If you hold it again, you'll speed back up. This is probably what is meant by the patch note.

Going frame by frame, it looks like Kirby's neutral air still has the same landing lag (6 frames). Makes sense as it's some of the lowest landing lag in the game. I think the wording of the patch notes means it autocancels earlier.

Yeah that was honestly OP. There were certain attacks that simply weren't feasible with certain characters so Pichu just took whole attack options off the table for no damn reason. Thank fuck for this. I'm hoping these patches will continue to weed out lazy GSP farmers.

I THINK the inkling change has to do with the Roller being out and slowing down movement and going back to max speed. I did no testing on it but that’s what I believe is the change. If you didn’t know, inkling - when using roller can slow down and eventually speed back up. It is when the acceleration back up and then grounding the opponent I believe is the change
