This album stirs up so many memories for me. I was 16. I got to meet Billy, Jimmy, and James at a Tower Records meet and greet when they were promoting this album. I asked Billy for a kiss on the cheek and he obliged. I went to my first Pumpkins show a few months later. It was the year that all of my teenage dreams finally came true.

This is an absolute perfect song. All these years later and it still hits me every time I listen to it.

I found Everlasting Gaze closer to Bullet with Butterfly. Even better IMO. Jimmy was def missed.

I was a huge fan back in the day. I remember hearing that drum opening on the radio while at work and instantly recognized something familiar and sure enough it was Jimmy back on the drums. He really tells a story with the drumming on this song.

Favourite song from Machina along with Age of Innocence. The Aubrey Beardsley inspired video is also interesting.

I really like how you let the song play all the way through before giving a reaction. I hate when people stop and play songs and give reactions throughout. It ruins the mood of the song and flow of things imho. Nice video!😀

Adore is an incredible album, but commercially it was a mistake for the Pumpkins. It caused the media and some of the nod-along fans to turn on them because they just wanted a rock album. Billy's mischeivous nature didn't help the situation there (more power to him tho), and so by the time Machina rolled around the industry wasn't in step with them anymore and it was cool to not like them. The lead song on the album The Everlasting Gaze even opens with the line "You know I'm not dead?" as a sort of Cherub Rock -like fk you to the haters. There were also some weird label / rights issues with this album. SP wanted to do another double album but the label wouldn't let them, so SP ended up releasing all the tracks that would have been there for free on the internet as Machina II (althouth back then you needed a friend with a CD burner!). There are some amazing songs there, but probably not as well produced as they would have been if it were a studio-backed release.

You should try some Biffy Clyro - you might like them. I was driving through rural Iowa for some reason a few years ago and got the locals in one of the bars into them. After hearing my accent they asked me for some Scottish bands to play on the juke box. Biffy Clyro went down very well and they ended being on all night. Black Chandelier and Bubbles being two of my favourites.

Good to see a Pumpkins reaction again, hopefully a reaction to the song Rocket won’t be blocked. Slow Dawn from Machina II would be a good reaction also.

But lacking in Chamberlin. It made for a very interesting album (an album that I'm a huge fan of), but it's great to hear what Jimmy brings to the band in songs like this.

This whole album….gonna go on a limb that I like it more than Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. Weird as hell, dark AF, and full of great songs. The video is pretty amazing if you haven’t seen it. But I think this album just hits harder because Melissa Auf Der Mauer is just a better bassist than D’Arcy from the previous albums. Sorry for rambling, went on a 90s grunge kick and stumbled across your video. The 90s was a time to be a teen. Seemed like every decent band had three or four albums worth of great material.

Jimmy is the best rock drummer alive without a doubt.
