He was weighing his scoop. Quarry loaders like that one often have scales on them. They are calibrated to weigh with the bucket all the way up. With that small of a dump truck it is important to have the right weight.

Hey Matt, the front edge of your bucket is worn away. It should extend about 3" in front of your bucket. Currently you are wearing away the sides of your bucket. You can put a reversible, replaceable cutting edge on the bottom with bolts or weld on. Makes working with the bucket a whole lot easier. Just an observation.

It’s just a cheap bucket, it’s almost new it just doesn’t have a replaceable edge I have one to add just haven’t gotten to it... it’s not worn at all tho

@@enduser1982 some ashes and a bit of trash, would i have taken it to a dump yes.. did he no.. but he did spread and bury it so well it cant even be seen, thats all they do at the dump anyway is bury it nothing magical happens there... in the end i do what the customer wants done 99% of the time, the other 1% of the time i just done take the job.. if they want the pile pushed over and spread thats what you do.. whats your problem with some ashes and junk left on some strangers property that youre not even in the same state as.. its none of your business he's free to dump burn and bury as much of his personal junk there as he pleases

It is called scalps,its scalped from the primary crusher, it contains fines and up to one inch rock, it compacts well, but not as good as manufactured roadbase which is quite expensive. Scalps is perfect for what Matt is doing, as it already has a base.

They are excellent! Easy to take off. Slightly harder to get back on but you get faster every time you do it... unbeatable in the mud though!

I did all the sub grade work there in less than an hour. I was spreading it thin and pushing the larger debris to the edge so it got covered
