How does selling CALL makes profits when the index goes UP ?? Couldn’t you sell bull PUT spread and get same results ?? I’m new to calendar spread. I traded others vertical spread before.

If you sold a put spread you would only get the value of the spread. The puts have no chance of going in the money. But the long calls do eventually go in the money. The idea of selling a put spread is great and valid. You could do that in combination with this. This is just a different, unique trade the style of which Seth very often brings to the table.
