Hey Tanner. I would really appreciate your advise on this. There’s a ton of opinions online but I trust yours on this one for sure. I live in Maui, no dynos, no E85, no pro tuners, just E tune and 92 octane. I’m about to buy an AP for my 2018 STI. And I’m curious if I should get a downpipe and AP, or an intake and AP? I’m on stock fuel system so I know I can’t do both, and I want induction noise more than a loud exhaust. My long term HP goals for the car are around 350whp. Because there are no shops here to help me with a build there’s only the Subaru dealership. It’s also my daily (I have a motorcycle tho)so I need to be conservative. I know this is a long message but I’d really like your thoughts on this one. I’m just curious on the best bang for buck first step for power mods. I already have a invidia cat back installed too BTW. Thanks so much for your time🤙 I love your content.

In my honest opinion If you want an intake and a downpipe I highly highly advise swapping fuel system parts. Last thing you'd want is it to hit a lean spot in boost due to lack of fuel and killing your engine 😣

Hey question about exhausts. So my catback has a resonator. If I get a j pipe for my 2019 wrx without a resonator will there be a lot of drone? I was looking at ETS new gesi catted j pipe and also wasn't sure about a gesi j pipe vs a normal catted j pipe. Please inform me lol. Also I love the sti build videos!

It will be drones at highway speeds but not causing around town. I would get the Gesi, they flow much better for when you really wanna start pushing the car

Congrats on the 21 STI, Great purchase. But I've never given up on any of my builds. I've always completed them, I'll never keep a car forever especially with using tbr cars to make videos with. From a business standpoint it's not a good choice to keep 1 car and continue trying to pull videos from it. We've done everything I've wanted to with the car and time to move onto something new 💪

Hi, I saw you had the wideband lambda on the downpipe at the same position as me when you got the stock turboplacement. Are you burning through sensors like a mad man? I have an innovate mtx-l with bosch 4.2 sensor and I´m at my 4th sensor in 6000km (370miles). You have the AEM right? Is it the uego x-series? Is it better than innovate? I just want something that works :-)

@@Smeedia so do you think the 4.9 sensor and aem gauge could last longer than 100miles? 😄 I have a grimmspeed dp and the sensor is located 12 oclock and 70mm from the turbo. Not the best placement, should be a bit further down I guess.

Hey smeedia, I have 2013 wrx hatchback manual and the engine went out. I have warranty but they are only going to pay 3500 for engine and turbo. Mechanic said most likely the warranty won’t cover it due to corrosion. So what I’m trying say I’m paying 12,000 for engine, turbo and clutch. Should I let the car go or pay for it plus I’m still paying the bank. I owe 18k. I can’t afford all this you got any suggestions

Corrosion? Wtf I'd look for a new mechanic. Sounds like an excuse. I've replace plenty of blown engine cars and never once has corrosion been an issue. Realalisticlly you can get an RA block for $2,000, gasket and seal kit for $300 and you'd have labor on top of that. Where are you located? If local to me I'll help you out and cut you a deal on the rebuild labor cost

It wasn’t the mechanic it was warranty. It’s called alpha warranty they told me if inside of the engine had corrosion Tyne wouldn’t pay and I told them it’s a 2013 car it’s old. So the mechanic told me it’s 12,000 job and engine and turbo together only cover 3,500 n there is more into it but I don’t think I’m going to get it done. How much can I sell the car with a messed up engine. Man I’m pretty fucked on this one
