The plaintiff says she helped the defendant out by giving her, her kids, and her pets a place to live while she got back on her feet. She claims the defendant’s cats peed on her belongings, so she’s suing for the property’s value, plus rent. The defendant says the situation was horrible, and there was no agreement for rent. She also says the plaintiff has 12 cats and kittens of her own, so the cat smells are not her fault. She’s countersuing for a flash drive and missing car keys.

Probably because her mom brought her to tell a lie on this woman. Which means now their relationship is over. The plaintiff opened her home to the 18 year old and as a thanks she comes into court with her mom and lies saying she saw evidence of the plaintiff being a trafficker, and what’s her evidence? She went with the plaintiff to go pick up a woman from a hotel who was having car problems and they took her to a dealership😒😒 what about that says she was trafficking or pimping someone? Your mom wanted you to lie to defame that woman’s character and you did it knowing it was wrong

Now that I think about it... I think the Mother used her daughter to get their foot in the door. Then told her a sob story to get everyone else moved in as well. OR scenario 2... the daughter knew they were going to get evicted so she found her a place to stay. Mom got wind of it and said oh wait we all can go there. If she'll let you stay she might let all of us stay. I do however feel like the daughter did say and mean it when she said she wanted to get away from her mother. Which is why it was awkward when the daughter spoke. I think she had to lie. Where would she be able to go after admitting that? Nowhere

Unfotunately some people just do not know or even care to know how to repay kindness. To bring up that kind lady's past in public was totally unnecessary. The defendant just meant to be hurtful. And she definitely got her daughter to come in that court room and lie! Talking about she went with the plaintiff to go pick a lady up from a hotel who was having car problems, and y’all took her to a dealership.😒 Now, how the hell would any of that lead up to the conclusion that this woman is being pimped by the plaintiff? Your mama told you to say that bull crap to help her claim that the plaintiff was an escort, the defendant didn’t expect the plaintiff to admit that she was at a point in her past. So you put your daughter in your mess in vain. However, she (the 18 year old) better pray she don’t ever need to go to the plaintiff for a favor later, you never know when, who, or how you’ll need somebody in the future! You’re 18 so you know lying is wrong, you could’ve simply stayed out of it. You went to her for a place to live to leave your moms house and she opened her home up to you so sounds like she was good to you!

There's a MAJOR difference between being an escort and being a sex-trafficking pimp. JM got very high and mighty and judgmental when it came to sex work on TPC, and it always left (and still leaves) a bad taste in my mouth. The plaintiff had every right to be insulted and disgusted by the insinuation that she was grooming and being a sex-trafficker. It was *unhinged* that the defendant threw that out there in an attempt to skirt a potential financial judgment. And JM chastising the plaintiff for being rightfully offended is rotted as hell.

Yeah but his lack of knowledge of the law itself is always a bigger problem with Judge Mattis. And are you implying that only blacks know about prostitution? Judge Millian was a criminal lawyer for 20 years. I'm sure she knows a thing or two about the sex trade. You don't need a ghetto judge to preside over a ghetto case. And in the end, the prostitution thing was not even a factor in Judge Millian's ruling, so your point is mute.

I def got the feeling that she’s still somewhat involved with the escort thing. And that as a mother it’s not good to have her daughter connected to that. There’s a big difference between escorting and trafficking, and I’m a csa survivor so I know. But let’s not act like she didn’t always know her past or what she’s done. Suddenly it’s a problem now but it wasn’t all those years? She sounds like the kind of “friend” that was a shoulder to cry on but was keeping things to use as weapons later.
