I was thinking it was Francis too, but he doesn't wear shoes, and also he helped out in saving anime. It could be smg3... but what motive would he have to do that. Plus he loves memes and I've never seen him in any anime moment ever. It easily points towards axol, but there's a small part of me thinking it might not be him. I see three possible culprits. No. 1: Axol Clues for him are explained in the video, but i feel like the end scene kept the culprit hidden on purpose. If it was Axol, why not just show him? We got the evidence, so... Also, he has claws, yes, but why would he fight himself and not use his creations? Why would he leave ink splatters behind if that's what he's after? No. 2: Francis The anime could have easily been left behind by him, and unless i'm mistaken, he has claws. A motive could be meggy's dislike for anime. No. 3: Swagmaster & Chris They could've kidnapped her for revenge and left the anime behind as a red herring. She helped unban anime, after all, and her ink was a key part in it. Unlikely culprits: Bob (has sword hands for claw marks, loves anime, but has no motive) Jeeves (fork head for claw marks, but i don't see a motive) EDIT: wow this blew up. Jeez. Btw i have been informed that francis doesn't have claws, but he has other anime cartel members at his side, including monty moles, and they all have katanas that could leave marks. Someone said axol wouldn't need the gun ink and that's why it's left behind, but the gun ink IS meggy's ink, that's how it works. EDIT 2: i thought of something. Swag and chris are more likely to kidnap mario if they want revenge, yes, BUT. The anime unban was caused by two things: axol's inkweaver and meggy's ink. What if, swag and chris kidnapped both axol AND meggy and are keeping them in two seperate locations to prevent further cooperation? That explains why only one shadow can be seen. That most likely was chris (if it were the guards), because swag would've immediatly yelled or something, so swag would be in some different location guarding axol. I literally thought of this on the toilet, so take this with a grain of salt.

Three suspects who I know could've done this: -Axol He does need Inkling ink for his writing, but it doesn't make sense. He already has a tank worth of it, and the evidence is a DVD. Axol is an artist, so it would make sense if he left a character sketch or manga behind. -Francis Runs an anime cartel, not to mention he knows of Axol's special pen. In the last episode, he was dissatisfied when Axol left without granting his wish of waifus, not to mention he does hate Meggy after the Lemon Milk war. -SwagMaster Thanks to the anime ban lift, he and Chris are left jobless. So he could've kidnapped her and place the DVD as false evidence for revenge of their job loss. But then Swag can't make claw marks, and Chris would've disagreed to the idea in the first place, plus Swag is retarded. -OC If it's neither of the three, it could be a new character. Something like Meggy's friend, or someone who holds a strong grudge against Inklings. Plus, Meggy's reaction at the end means her kidnapper is someone she knows.
