Ever since I had a bad dental health. When I age 13-14 yrs old I had veneers done, Since I was too young to have dentures it is the best option my dentist have. Then it only last 5years or less than, and now naka denture na ako. And that timeframe was the most embarrassing time of my life, ay tbh up to this present parin siguro, for having this poor dental. I've never been too confident talking to other people esp pag malapitan, and this bad dental leads me na maging introvert. It really have a big impact in my life. Also financial problem take part. But now mukhang may dentist na akong pagkakatiwalaan and mapag tatanungan. Thank you sa information doc!

How many folds price-wise is the porcelain versus the composite? If a patient chose to pay the most expensive zirconia porcelain type, would there be a way to get an assurance of the material used? if yes, how would the patient make sure that it really is the material used (versus the next level down material used on the patient instead). Any guarantee given by dentists on veneer services? (if patient paid the expensive price, and yet after few years it got damaged in any way way under the expected life span of the veneer(s). ☺️ I've been interested with dental veneers, but I think it's a tough challenge to find a really really good dentist that's within a reasonable price range, especially for a patient who is based abroad and can barely go back to the Philippines for needed repairs etc.

Hi Miss Karz, thank you for pointing this out and I understand your concern. We encountered patients who had the same questions as you. A lot of dentist here in the Philippines especially Ceramic/Cosmetic Dentists have their own machines and laboratories in their clinic for veneers. In this way, they can really show to you the material they are using. Dentists are also very hands-on on the smile designs of the patient. What can I advise is that, choose a dentist who has an expertise in doing veneers, has their own laboratory or facilities for veneer processing, and has a good reputation in their field :) Prices of composite and porcelain veneers differ from clinic to clinic due to a lot of reasons: location, lab fees, materials used, etc. Composite veneers rangers from 6-10k per tooth Porcelain veneers po ranges from 20-40k per tooth Again, these prices are not fixed. This is just an estimate ma’am. :)

The lifespan of the veneers always depends on how you take care of it and how the dentist fabricated your veneers. We need to make sure that your bite is correct, the function of your teeth is restored and that you can speak and eat without any problem. We can avoid problems if the veneers are created this way and if you will go to the dentist regulary. If after few years, it got damaged. I am sure you dentist will compensate and give you a discount for the repair depends on the cause of the damage ma’am. Everything you do and eat outside the dental office is not our fault na po :) when you have veneers, you really need to take care of it also :) We can’t say the exact number of years your veneers will last because we have different lifestyles :) what we’re giving is just an estimate po :) but be assured that we, the dentists will help you to achieve your goal with veneers :)

Fabulous video, I have some questions hopefully you can answer. Im just exploring different options with lots of research. Any professional help is APPRECIATED. 1. If someone with a 97% chipped tooth and regrows their teeth naturally by properly eating with proper hygiene? 2. With composite or porcelain veneers, will the veneer possibly broke off or crack slowly due to the growth? 3. Have you heard of anything similar taking place like in Japan with the stem cell regeneration process and trials begin June 2024? Limited information is provided about it. Hi sir, usually po veneers can't correct midline deviation. Kailangan po talaga muna magbraces to correct it kasi ang magiging problem po dyan ay yung gums. It’s okay lang naman po. But the zirconia will have a different shade po talaga kasi opaque po masyado ang pfm cause it has metal sa loob. Yes polishable naman po ang porcelain. Maaalis yung cement pa rin :)

omg!Doc.sana noon ko pa kau napanood!my biggest insecurities yong mga ipin ko tlaga,i was wearing denture na po since high school pa,laking bukid pi kasi ako pag may masakit lng na ipin dati ppunta lng kmi sa public clinic bunot na agad,la pa akong idea sa mga pasta pasta noon pati lola ko na nagpalaki sa akin,nong narinig ko bout implant di ko rin afford masyado mahal😞,Doc any suggestion po sa implant upper teeth ?& veneer sa lower teeth po?

Pwede pa rin po ma’am but case to case basis po kasi ang ngipit po na nairoot canal hindi na po sya ganun katibay so usually crown po talaga pag niroot canal. Depende po :)

Hello po. Zirconia po is not a composite itself. May mga composite na po ngayon na may “zirconia fillers” pero hindi po sya pure zirconia. Inaadd lang po un para mas tumibay ung composite. Meron po tayong zirconia crowns pero wala pong term na Composite Zirconia Crown :) ang composite ginagamit po natin sya sa pagpasta ng ngipin. Ang crowns po hindi namin pwedeng gawin sa clinic. Sa laboratory po sya ginagawa. Porcelain Zirconia Crown naman po. Ang Porcelain po at Zirconia ay TYPES of Ceramic. Magkaiba po sila ng composition :) Pero meron po tayong tinatawag na layered zirconia. Zirconia po yung core nya sa loob. Porcelain po ung sa labas. You are welcome po :) God bless din po :)

Good day .. mgpapagawa ako ng bagong full mouth denture … pero ang gums ko ay lubog na or maliit na .. gusto ko bago na denture me matagal and na kc itong denture ko … Pede ba ako ng pagawa or masukatan kahit maliit na gilagid ko lubog na? The composite we use ma’am is zirconia reinforced type of composite. So it is less more likely to stain. Pero technically, composite veneers stain po kapag nababad talaga sa colored drinks. If you love coffee po, tea or wine. I suggest to go for the porcelain po kasi it doesn’t stain at all :)

Hi doc ask ko lang possible pa ba mag fixed bridge sa upper front kung medyo lubog na ang gilagid? Pag denture kasi may gilagid kaya nako-correct yung lubog na porma ng upper front lips.

Yes po. Pwede pa rin sir. Lalagyan din po ng gum park ung fixed bridge :) para po pumantay sa gum ng natira nyong ngipin. Search nyo po “dental bridge with gums”. Yan po ang itsura :)

Hello! :) our tooth usually have 5 surfaces :) harap likod 2 gilid at yung ibabaw or occlusal surface. So kung mas malaki po ang sira at mas madaming surface and involved. Mas mahal po ang bayad :)

Yes ma’am possible po na combination ng fixed bridge at veneers yung gawin sa inyo. But yes iccheck pa po muna natin yung TMJ ninyo. Hi Dra., galing po sa braces ang teeth ko. Yung isa ko pong teeth sa harap katabi ng 2front teeth, nakapasta po sya dati, nung tinanggal po nangitim na po mga 1/4 po ng teeth. Ngayon po nagcracked po yun part na decay na napasta dati. Pwede po ba eto ipa composite veneer muna? After din po ba maveneer, pwede pa din po ba suotin yun retainer?

Pwede nyo pa rin naman pong papastahan pero depende p rin po sa case nyo. Kailangan po muna makita ng dentist :) pwede din pong kumasya pa yung dating retainers depende po sa pagkakapasta.

Hi AC :) sorry for the late reply. It depends kung anong veneers. If composite veneers, you should avoid colored drinks, tea, coffee, wine. Pwede pa rin naman pero make sure you drink lots of water. Kapag you have porcelain veneers you can drink anything kasi hindi sya nagdidiscolor :)

Kapag po naicrown na po yung ngipin, hindi na po pwedeng iveneers kasi nabawasan na po yung ngipin. Kailangan po crown din po ang ipalit :)

Hi Doc. Ask ko lang po. If composite veneers po ba maagapan or maprevent ung discoloration sa frequent brushing ng teeth? Intereodin po ako na magpaveneers. I currently have my braces on pa po doc pero prang gusto ko ng magpaveneers. Thankyou

Hi Miss Barbara :) Discoloration po ay hindi nakukuha sa frequent brushing. Either intrinsic reasons po or extrinsic (like drinking coffee, tea, wine, colored drinks). If your concern po ay discoloration, whitening or veneers nga po would help :)

Un lang ang concern ko doc kase maingat naman ako sa ngipin ko. baka kase mabilis magstain ung composite veneers eh. every morning lang naman ako umiinom ng kape. hahaha then pag softdrinks siguro sprite nalang lagi. haha
