What is a MOBA?
Multiplayer Online Battle Arenas, or MOBAs for short, originated as a sub-genre of the RTS (Real-Time Strategy) genre. Because of this, in most MOBA games, the player takes control of a single character from the isometric (top-down) view akin to most RTS games. Typically, in MOBA games, a player takes control of a single character on one of two teams. Those players choose characters that all have their own abilities, or “kits”. To win, the players must use a combination of abilities, teamwork, and strategy to not only best their opponent, but destroy the opponents main structures. A bonus to the genre is that most MOBAs are free games, which is definitely a contributing factor of the their massive success. The genre has many titles, the largest of which being Defense of the Ancients (DoTA) and DoTA 2, League of Legends (LoL), and most recently SMITE!
What is SMITE?
SMITE is one of the more recent free MOBA games to enter the fray. In SMITE you don’t just choose a character, you choose a god. You’ll instantly feel an attachment to characters like Thor and Zeus because even if you don’t know the lore behind them, you’ve at least heard their names before! What makes SMITE so immersive is Hi-Rez Studios’ inclusion of historical lore into the gods’ abilities, kits, and play styles. Thor and Loki aren’t just characters from Marvel comics and movies. They’re also a part of Norse mythology and you can take control of them in SMITE!
What makes SMITE different?
SMITE takes all of the strategy of the top MOBA games and adds another layer of difficulty by putting you into the action! Unlike most MOBA games, SMITE offers players the chance to experience the MOBA genre they know and love from a third-person perspective. This unique perspective allows for an extremely immersive experience unlike any other game in the genre. While this doesn’t sound like such a big change, once you play it you’ll understand! All of these things added together is what has gaming websites everywhere continually rating SMITE as one of the best MOBA games available!

Ability Lore Breakdown! Turn of Fate- Uses a Chakra symbol, Ganesha is the deity of the Muladhara (Root/First) chakra, in which he is said to reside. With that in mind it is perhaps an oversight that the symbol used is of the manipura (third) chakra. OHM- Of course the most famous sound of Eastern Religions. Another name for Ganesha is Omkara (body of AUM). Om comes first in almost all prayers and Ganesha is honored first, so it of no surprise as a supreme diety he would come to be seen as its embodiment. The Sanskrit symbol for Aum also looks like an elephant. Remove Obstacles- I would argue that more than being the God of Success Ganesha is known as the Lord of Obstacles and his epithets to such are numerous. Highly fitting then that obstacles would not hinder him. Dharmic Pillars- Dharma is law and therefor that which holds up and ordered universe and society. Pillars of Dharma is often used expression and indeed literal pillars to Dharma have been erected. Moreover elephants are often mythological guards to these directions and Ganesha, as guardian of thresholds, is the master through which all must either pass or be blocked.

shiva actually replace it with elephant head because he has no choice. he had to replace the head with the head of a baby that sleeps facing oppositely with its mother. and a time limit. so yeah. he replaced it with that head.

While I don't think it's bad on it's own, I feel like that passive is just going to reinforce the negative mindset alot of people have. You know. the one where you're playing any other guardian, help take down a hunter that was shredding your team and people thank you by raging at you for stealing what was clearly their kill against said Hunter who was previously running 20/0/5. Never mind that you protected your allies from someone that can shred them in two quick hits. You're now bad because your pitiful guardian dps happened to get the last tick.

One of the coolest gods to be added, Ganesha's design is beautiful (along with the rest of the Hindu Pantheon) and his abilities have a surprising skill ceiling, Ohm is a ridiculous ability for countering initiations and ganks, proper timing of this single ability can win teamfights so easily. I remember when he dropped, Ganesha mains were always super helpful and polite players, I think the passive does genuinely lead to a less toxic player, as players don't feel the need to steal every kill from their adc to pad their diamond portrait stats.

josh butterballs kuzen was really good to me, i always do like 34000 dmg and still support well my team. people that complain about kuzen simply don't know hot to play him / build him. and i've to day that many times i missed some kills cause of the tiny life of the kapa, so that buff will be a really nice one that could make thatgod even op to me

They will announce when they will add another pantheon, but all of the playerbase doubts they will add another up until 2019. They have fill up both Japanese , Celtic and the others low scor pantheon like Mayans and Hindu before they add ANOTHER pantheon

Alex Veela its not back because instead of damaging you for the amount of times you touch the field, it does a dot if you stand on it. only thing now is for the fenrir to bite someome and just stand on the edge to let them take the damage.
