I understand people's concern of having only 5 rounds, I used to be the same way. I always preferred autos because of the higher ammo capacity. I figured the more the better. Then one day it started to occur to me that I have never needed to shoot anyone, and I quite probably never will. If I do, it'll most likely be one or two people and it's probably going to be up close and personal as most people don't rob you from 100 yards away. In this scenario as "most" are in a typical self defense situation if 5 rounds doesn't solve the problem, it's probably time to consider plan B. I do agree though that 6 is no realistic benefit over 5. If 5 can't do it, yes it's "possible" that 1 more round could do it, but I'd say "moat likely" not. I carry a 5 shot S&W Model 36 pretty much every day. I have no problem trusting my life to that. I also carry 2 speed strips, one with standard 38 special ammo, and one with +p ammo. I also carry 6 rounds per speed strip even tho my gun only carries 5 because just in case, that's 2 more rounds "just in case."

Saying I needed training to believe these guns don't serve that purpose because of the age of the revolvers. Some people simply think everyone needs a glock to protect yourself and family. I feel comfortable and love the function of the revolver/wheel gun. Love your comment. Because I learned to act on my own feelings I love having and carrying a snub for a edc and sometimes my glock. Just depends on the event and day I am going to have.

That round thingy that holds the bullets that cycles around to the next chamber every time you squeeze the trigger is not the barrel, it is the cylinder. The barrel is that short hollow tube on the on the front of the gun that the bullets come flying out of. You're welcome.

Yup. I was at a firearms class recently which included holster drills. Several of us brought more concealed carry type handguns to practice on those. One guy who said he doesn't carry firearms yet brought an all metal I think Sig 226 semi auto. Full sized firearm I think. It was easier to shoot accurately, but quickly after we moved to holster drills he was talking about how it was way too heavy and big.

For 'light carry' I use a 642 Airweight (DAO Centennial) but when hiking I use a 637 due to it's SA/DA allowing me to cock the weapon. Using reloaded 158gr SWCs one can easily hit tin cans at 20 yards if you hold the gun well and have some good trigger control. And yes, at 100 yards, prone, a IPSC silhouette target can be hit, 5 out of 5 (but my 30/30 from the same position, will do head shots!)
@silverhorder19695 жыл бұрын
You are unwise to keep a gun unloaded in your home. I have 2 guns loaded at all times that are quickly accessible. Even when I had small kids I just kept them out of reach of my kids. If you ever need a loaded gun, especially in your home, you will need it as fast as you can get to it! If it is unloaded you will most likely be a dead man! At least your headstone will say here lies a safe dead man..

This is a very nice revolver. Like you mentioned it does feel very good. All guns must and should have ammo in night stand. on you or in vehicle. Feel unsafe? take a safety course. The pistol should cost $500. This is a well built and designed gun. Don’t buy a gun, rifle, shotgun (firearm) and shoot it but a few times. Go to a range dial it in, take a break (no alcohol or pot) come back and you should find you can hit what you aim at much easier. Good video but to much mishandling of the weapon. Like any instrument learn the names of the parts before trying to speak or try to teach someone. This is a fine gun it is also good for people that have restricted movement or small hands. Guns are meant to prevent impending injury or death, so be good at shooting yours! Thanks for the post

Who says you only need to carry one gun? This revolver is only about 1# loaded. A lot of Micro Nines are only about 1# loaded. Why not carry both? A “New York reload” can be a life saver, if your first gun jams. Just drop it and grab the other one.

won't perform accurately at distance cause of the barrel length? years ago when that rumor was more popular some people got 2 to 8 inch barrel revolvers locked them in a vice properly sighted and determined 2 inch is just as accurate as longer barrels. just that people aren't used to the feel of such a small gun. watch the video of the guy shooting a steel plate at 300yrds with a snubby 38 then suck on facts.

you dont pop the barrel to the side . you pop the cylinder. the barrel is the thing that sticks out of the front of the frame.
@oldcop185 жыл бұрын
You unlock the cylinder, not the barrel. Also, the “pin” that ejects the empty shell casings is the ejector rod and if you point the barrel up after the last shot & smack the ejector rod sharply all the empty casings will clear the cylinder.

If you are going to do videos on guns, get your facts straight. It is not the barrel that holds the ammo and opens. It's called a cylinder. Sorry to be anal. But it drives me nuts when people do these and don't do them correctly. Just like when people call magazines clips. Drives me nuts. Get it right or don't do it. Obviously, no one has a clue about real threats and what really happens when you need to pull on some one. I lived in a variety of areas both rural and urban. I’ve been robbed at gun point 2 times by gangs of two-three. I just gave up wallet. I was not packing a gun. If I was packing there would have been gun fight for a wallet. Not sure an empty wallet is worth it. Fortunately, we I had no charge cards and I had little cash just a drivers license. Of course if your broke the bros’ may get mad and kill you? This was wonderful progressive downtown Portland, OR. A real hell hole, that is not worse. I also was car jacked with no gun. They said they had one? Did not see it. I drove to an busy intersection & traffic light. Stopped in middle of intersection and I said “either shoot me or get out!” Bro’ was bluffing and got out. Another thing they like to do there by the ghetto in they call Albina, Portland, OR is wait by stop lights and car jack or just pull you out of your car and beat you to a pulp. I usually ran traffic lights in that situation. The Native Americans come off the reservations occasionally, get drunk and try road rage bumper cars with rich dudes that are driving exotics like beamers or jags. Fortunately, I just watched this crap at a distance. It usually went on for 10 miles; until everybody drove to a shoulder on I-5 Freeway and had a fist fight. I have pulled a gun on a drunk cowboy in Wyoming. He was trying to run people off a road. After 20 minutes of this baloney I pulled my gun. Brandished it out the window and he pulled off the road. When I lived in Idaho we did open carry. I never saw this baloney I saw in Portland, Or or Vancouver, Washington. They were CALoco anti-gun and open carry there. So only the gangstas open carried. My people were ranchers & pioneers in Utah, California, Nevada, Idaho, Wyoming and Nebraska from 1840’s to present. Did we use our guns? Yes, on many occasion. Need I say more? These fools that think that the police will or can protect you? As the folks a Walmart in El Paso, TX. 6 min later 20 dead and 15? Wounded? If some was CCW that killer would be history, not doing a life sentence. Lunatics here in CALoco get away with threatening to shoot you at the gym. They get arrested and the gym says, loony should get another chance to threaten you! I m moving out of CALoco the dems will confiscate our weapons in 2020. Trump will sell us capitulate.
