Beautiful nature John and a great trail, but a bit of a climb. Interesting to see whats left of the old house. Fantastic view from the fire tower and I love landscape like that, with plenty of lakes with the forest. I'm with you on the height thing John. I'm not too keen on being high up either. Thank you for sharing an great video and from today, I'm officially supporting your channel.👍🙂

What a great looking trail up to the tower. The tower itself looks in great condition with a perfect view. Thanks for sharing :)

Good morning John, that was absolutely beautiful, the views from up there and such a sunny clear day. The water was especially beautiful. Love that puffy jacket too. I am glad you got back to the trailhead. Happy New Year!

Thanks for checking it out Nicole. I plan to head back up there this week, get some more exposure therapy on the tower, and turn right instead of the left to complete the loop trail I missed on this hike. Maybe even put a drone up depending on the wind. Happy New Year as well!

Enjoyed the video, along with the CRATA restoration info you posted in the description, John. Interesting history and thankful for organizations like CRATA that restore such landmarks for us to enjoy. Would like to go there sometime.

Thanks Carl! If you ever want to head this way and check it out, let me know. Gonna try to make it all the way to the top next trip to the lake 🤞🤞

Hi John! Nice hike through the woods and up to the tower! I might not like to go to the top either… we don’t have those type of lookouts here locally. That one is pretty darn tall and feels pretty exposed. We’ve hiked to a few out here that they put up on the top of mountain peaks…. pretty interesting to read about the history and importance for fire fighting. The lake and views are really pretty! 👍☀️☀️☀️
