Smith and Weston makes great pistols. And I am not going to be happy until I have the new bodyguard in my hands..
@gregb6469Ай бұрын
Why do so many gun tubers think they need two hands to shoot pocket pistols? They are designed to be fired one-handed, and in a real self-defense situation are most likely to be fired one-handed, so test them for how well they do when so fired. I like that background music with the shooting scenes!

Love mine I just wish they could make the 12 round mag a bit easier to load the final 2 rounds as well as how hard it is to insert it into the gun when its full. You have to smack it hard or squeeze it in with your fingers if you're strong enough. Away from that it's an amazing fire arm.

I’ve been a long time LCP / LCP Max person. I’ve always wished there was a firearm with these main designs. The undercut trigger guard, super high dovetail, super thin, 10 round capacity. Compared to the LCP Max, this is light years ahead. I got it on order, should be in my hands Monday or Tuesday.

@@zuki818 It has been a fantastic firearm. Has turned into my everyday. I’ve got close to 1000 rounds through it already. Easy to shoot. The mag springs ease up a bit, but I still use my Uplula loader for them. I have to remind myself what it’s intended purpose is, as it’s not a target pistol.

Best new gun on the market. No question. Put Smith and Wesson you need take a look at that Magpul Daka utility organizer. It was made for your gun. Retails for under $30 and comes in a couple colors. But Smith and Wesson you need this case in your box.

After watching a dozen KZbin rave reviews, I purchased one. At initial field strip and cleaning, I was very disappointed to discover the two quality control or design failures, 12 round mag follower and spring assembly/guide rod. The most disturbing issue for me is the amount of grip and force it takes to rack the slide. It has drawn blood on my fingers 3 times. At 200 rounds with 3 different ammo types, it shot flawlessly. It has an excellent grip, feel, and trigger. A green front sight would be better. Thirteen rounds in a 15.3 oz. pocket carry may not get any lighter. Due to the racking issue, I haven’t decided if this will be my pocket carry choice.
@quoththeraven7Ай бұрын
For me, it carries and conceals like a very light mouse gun. but feels and shoots like a subcompact. the only issue I'm having with it is, consistently getting the slide to lock back. And no, I'm not riding the slide. I'll be calling Smith & Wesson tomorrow

noticed several times during this video that it seems the bodyguard 2.0 failed to lock the slide back on an empty magazine, which is an issue that i've also had on my shield plus. unfortunate :l

Large hands can ride the slide causing it not to lock back. Small to medium hands will not have that issue.

We did have that happen to us a few times. Generally, it was with the 10-round mag. And indeed it was our hands doing it. This pistol is *tiny*.

Hey Kevin, I looked at one of these today at my LGS. Did you get an idea of actual accuracy with this firearm on paper? My wife currently carries a Smith EZ 380 but we are not happy at all with the accuracy of that pistol. Even sandbagged it gets 6”+ groups at 30 ft and they are all over the place. That’s with Federal HST, Speer Lawman, and Win Ranger. She can do much better with her LCP but the capacity isn’t there. I’d love to pick this up if the accuracy potential is better. I might even get one for shorts carry and ditch my LCP.
@GalleryofGuns3 ай бұрын
We didn't do any actual accuracy testing - i.e., groups on paper - but it was extremely easy hitting steel at 7-10 yards, even at speed. At the end of the range session, we went out to 27 yards and got hits as well. Steel targets were approximately 10" circles.

NO NEED TO REMOVE ROLL PINS
@Prepare2Survive3 ай бұрын
The only thing I wish S&W had done differently with this gun is make the extractor removal easier. I don't like having to hammer out roll pins when I want to clean behind the extractor every 1000 rounds. I know most people don't shoot that many rounds in guns like this, but I do because I handload my own ammo using cast lead bullets and they shoot dirty so I like doing a thorough cleaning after every 1000 approximate rounds fired. Glock makes it very easy to do a detailed strip removing every single part. I just wish other companies would take that into consideration a little more when designing a gun.
@shj20003 ай бұрын
Roll pins is your hang up? Okay.
@Prepare2Survive3 ай бұрын
@@shj2000 Not just roll pins, but anything that requires a hammer to be used shouldn't be necessary when doing a detailed strip of a gun removing every single part in the entire gun. Glock figured out a way to accomplish that 40 years ago. It shouldn't be hard for S&W to figure out a way to do it today.
@TADDs1013 ай бұрын

@@AlternativeEnergyNC I like my cars to be as easy and simple to repair and maintain myself too. Engineers have the ability to make things very simple to take apart, but they choose not to for whatever reasons. Most of them obviously don't care about the end user and the DIY factor. That's probably also why most cars now-a-days require removing a dozen things just to replace one part instead of engineering the layout to make parts replacement more DIY friendly. I guess the engineers would rather you pay the dealership to fix the car instead so they don't care anymore about making anything DIY friendly.
