Bought this literally the day it came out, awsome shotgun, only issue ive had with it is the shell got stuck inside and I had to tear it apart to take it apart l, the slide wouldn't slide until cleared

I haven't had any failures. My biggest problem were due to the fact that this was my first shotgun at a time when I knew less about firearms than I do now. Not a good shotgun for your introduction to shotgun class, especially when they start teaching loading and speed loading. But once I put a red dot on it (which I also had no clue about) and aligned it, it was great.

@@TangomanX2008a red dot... on a bull pup? Ok, if that’s what you think you are going to need. I own a couple of KSGs (10 years or more now?)a light is all I would add. A bull pup, in my opinion is for close quarters, hence a tube of double 00 buckshot and a tube of slugs. If I need a red dot, I’m probably switching from the KSG to an AR-15?

First shotgun and I love it, one think I’ve found helps with reloading is a 2 point sling. You can add a Mlok QD to the front. Invert, one hand works the load assist, one hand loads, sling holds the gun.

KSG is decent but the MP12 is better built beefier, I like the built in foregrip also I don't like the tac rail on the KSG. The KSG is actually build off this design essentially the same.....I prefer the MP12 all day long

🎯🔥The DP12 is much better🔥🎯
@mm650 Жыл бұрын
Correct me if I'm wrong here, but the DP12 does not have a manual tube selector... Instead it feeds alternately from both tunes Right, then Left, then Right, then Left and so forth till the end. As such, it's functionally just a bullpup 12ga with a big single magazine. If that's what you want that's nice. (Although personally, if I just wanted a lot of magazine capacity on a 12ga I'd skip pump-action altogether and go for something like the Tavor TS12... just as much capacity, but with higher rate over-all of fire). Still the feature that someone who buys the M&P12, or the KSG specifically is going to want is the ability to Ammo-Select by manually selecting which tube one is loading from on a shot-by-shot basis. This is a feature that is intrinsically best suited to something like pump-action. (by its nature, semi-automatic or revolver actions, select and chamber the next round to be fired as part of the firing action of the previous round... so the ability to ammo-select with those sorts of actions doesn't make much sense as doing so would require clearing the already automatically chambered round in favor of the selected round. This is what makes the DP12 odd to me. If all I cared about was more magazine capacity, well I could do that better with a semi-auto shotgun). The ability to Ammo-Select is often considered a trivial feature by some. The reasoning that they generally put forward is that, in the heat of the moment when your life or your family's lives might be on the line and you have mere seconds or even just fractions of a second to act, fiddling around with deciding which ammo to select will get you or your loved ones killed. To be fair to this argument, they are not suggesting that pressing the tube select button will be slow, but are rather talking about the COGNITIVE loads that you are under in a high stress situation and the speed of your DECISION. I acknowledge there is some validity in this argument, but ultimately I think it is fallacious one. This comes down to two issues: First, the decision delay is not actually there, as the default action is, if the decision to fire has been reached at all, to pump and fire with whatever tube is selected when the moment comes Since the tube select button does not have a neutral setting, that is it is either selected for one tube or the other, the decision is always actually made BEFORE the cognitively-stressful time-compressed moment in which the weapon is used in need. That is functionally it was made when the weapon was LOADED. When you think about it, what ammo is loaded is a decision that must be made at load time for ANY weapon, so that's no different from any other weapon. Thus the worst case scenario is not a delayed shot, but rather a shot with the sub-optimal ammo selected. But the chances of that are no higher with the M&P12 than they are with a shotgun that has only one kind of ammo. Second, what ammo-select as a feature DOES is let you reconsider that load choice in the moments after you retrieve the weapon, and yet before you enter a stressful shoot-no-shoot situation. There are two reasons why you might want to do that: (1) Not necessarily, but very likely, there will be a moment where you have both time to think and more relevant information than you did when you loaded the tubes, thus your ammo choice at that moment has a higher chance of being optimal than it did at load-time. (2) The primary danger to one's self and family in a home defense situation, at least in some states, is not from the assailant, but rather from the legals system which may decide that you did not have the right to use lethal force defending yourself and your family. (The fact that this is unjust is irrelevant, the legal threat is real and just as capable of destroying a life or a family as an assailant, and thus must be taken into account when making home-defense decision the same way you would take into account any other down stream risks of home defense choices such as from over penetration). The ability to show a judge, or a jury, or a responding police officer that you used a less-lethal option (such as a rubber or bean-bag round), at least initially, meaningfully reduces the legal-consequences portion of the over-all danger from a home-defense encounter. Judges, and especially juries, have shown that they appreciate restraint. But you don't want to be saddled with such less-lethal rounds in those case where they won't be sufficient to deal with the assailant. That's where Ammo-Select as a feature shines. It lets you lead with the less lethal options (incidentally reducing your hesitation in the stressful moment where fractions of a second count), but doesn't marry you to that option if it should turn out to be insufficient for the rigors of the specific encounter.

@@mm650 Where did you copy and paste all that from 🤣❓️Short answer 👉🏾It's much better with two shots per pump‼️
@mm650 Жыл бұрын
@@A_Son_Of_Yahuah As to where I "copy-pasted" that from, I wrote it myself... I find youtube and reddit comment threads a convenient place to practice my writing skills out and refine my thoughts. Noone is a harsher critic for one's reasoning or writing than trolls on the internet. But, to your assertion that the DP12 is better because it provides 2 shots per pump: By that reasoning wouldn't a semiautomatic shotgun be better still? I mean the DP12 can be thought of as a semiauto shotgun between pumps, and pumps as just a way of loading a 2-round virtual magazine quickly. A IWI's Tavor TS12 can, in the same vane of thought, be though of as a semiauto shotgun with three magazines of four rounds each that are swap-able by rotating the drum. 4 shots per rotation of the drum is better than two shots per pump. The TBP 12 by Tokarev USA, or any number of similar shotguns of the same basic concept, is a detachable magazine semiauto 12ga with a magazine capacity of 5. 4 shots per insertion of a magazine is better than two shots per pump. ALL of these are bullpup 12ga shotguns that allow for at least one follow up shot after an initial shot with nothing but an additional pull of the trigger, and also allow for a rapid refilling of the reservoir of rounds available to fire with a pull of a trigger from a slightly less available larger set of magazines.... Either another pump in the case of the DP12, a rotation of the cylinder in the TS12, or simply the ejection and insertion of another magazine with the TBP12. The question, since you obviously don't value Ammo-Selection as a feature, is why would you want a DP12 when there are any number of options that allow far more fast follow up shots than the DP12?
