do you think a .38 special snub nose is also suitable to people with physical difficulties (context: my mom is probably going to amputate half of the left anelar finger, yes assassin's creed style haha, she broke the front half of the finger and for the last 3 months the finger is not healing so well, the nail has fallen 3 times and she has done 2 surgeries to it. I want her to protect herself... We also hike a lot so a revolver would be nice)
@daltongarrett71173 жыл бұрын
also your mom could accidentally load the 357 ammo and hurt herself she would likely be a bit pissed at that so the 38 is a good choice. .380 semiauto wouldn't be a bad choice either, maybe a 9mm or even a smaller caliber if the kick is too much from the 38. I hope she loves whatever you guys go with.

Had a severe hand injury years ago, essentially had my hand taken off at the wrist...just bought this yesterday as my first gun, I struggled to rack other pistols simply because my functional grip was diminished so greatly by the injury due to the ulnar nerve being severed(table saw😖), the EZ made all this possible, I could pinch the back serrations and the extra last flare and easily operate the slide. A gun like this made an otherwise strong and capable guy like myself who has been (for defensive purposes)functionally reduced to one good hand able to defend myself, this gun goes beyond the scope of ‘weak’ , ‘women’ and ‘elderly’...the EZ gives back a strong defense and confidence to shoot again to those who have suffered hand injuries, both minor and severe, thanks for the great review🙏🏻

I have this gun, the .380 Performance Center version. When they say EZ, it's not just marketing BS, it really is easy to operate. From loading the magazine, to racking the slide, to minimum recoil. This is a kitten of a handgun. It's a good entry level gun for people who know nothing about guns or are scared of them. I know often time when people ask the question "what's a good first gun?", people will say "get a Glock". In my mind, the EZ is a good first gun. At the very least, this gun can have the external thumb safety. So that would give you the thumb and grip safety whereas Glock has neither. For people who are intermediate or advance in their firearms experience, I'd recommend something without any kind of external safety. However for people who are beginners, I'd very much be hesitant to do so. The EZ is a great place to start for anyone.

The biggest problems I found from the EZ series, was if you even slightly limp wrist it, it will not function correctly. Also if you don't have that grip safety pressed in just as so it will not fire. One of my students bought an ez because it was easier to chamber. But she has weaker wrists and wasn't able to lock them like they should be. Which resulted in numerous malfunctions. Then whenever it came to pulling drills, if she didn't get that grip the same time every single time that grip safety would render the pistol useless. I've been shooting for over three decades and even I had issues with it.

@@kylejohnson1308 that most likely has to do with not having trained with it enough. Training doesn't consist of standing in front of a stationary target at 21ft, firing on a sunny day, etc. ....... I got one for my dad. I wish they would release a version with 1.5 stack magazines and get more capacity.

It is very clear S&W has targeted this pistol for new shooter and folks that may have trouble manipulating other hand guns. Myself, I'm an old fat man who has years of experience with many types of handguns and I love love the way this thing runs. Very well mannered and carries well.

Looks like sweet shooting gun, that would be perfect for my wife. Chad behind the scene fast reloads with mags .lol!

☝️🤔double stack a model like the shield plus? That may negate the easy load mag a bit, but all the other features and benefits would remain?
