My old English teacher when I was in year 5 so ages ago. He showed us old ads for our lesson and when he showed us this ad everyone wouldn't stop singing it after the lesson

I remember when Walkers started putting blue bags in their crisps with prizes inside. I was always disappointed when I found one someone had thrown away only to find it was full of salt & not a £10 note :(

I got such a thing once - the prizes were one of the following - a £20 note, a £10 note, a £5 note or a voucher for a free packet - I got the voucher - but they had the nerve to demand another penny - in those days, crisps were 35p a packet - the shop I went to were charging 36p for a 35p packet of crisps - and the voucher only covered the actual price - not their markup - that self-same shop sold me a sandwich that was stale - from that day forward, I have never bought sandwiches from shops in bread! I get buns or subs!

Used to be many brands of crisps available - one brand, Tudor, based in Peterlee, their crisps sold across the north east - by the time they got to us, they were practically stale - or the shops kept them stored as long as they could get away with - and still had the temerity to demand full price! There was a beef flavour one (B-Fee Barbecue, they were sold as - they even sold them as Marmite or Bovril) - it wasn’t selling under any of those names - so they were repackaged as hedgehog flavour - but they still tasted like beef! Or as much like beef as beef crisps do! Also, they did not fill the packets - we often asked for half a packet of cheese and onion, half a packet of salt and vinegar …
