@@4801328 after about a week in the sun they start to stick to the jeep. If left on much longer than that they could stick to the paint and possibly ruin clear coat.

Dirt and grime will get stuck in between the magnet and paint on the jeep. Could cause paint damage.

Also after about a week the magnet will actually start to stick to the paint and could damage clear coat if left of too long. I left mine on for about 9 days once and it was sticking to the jeep pretty bad like it was glued on. Definitely recommend removing weekly.

Can u drive with these on and leave on everyday like on freeway or are they just for trails?

We definitely leave them on occasionally. We also drive on the interstate with them. Just make sure you clean up trash or it blows everywhere haha.

I can see how the bigger ones for the door could be a bear. So which ones would you recommend. The Smittybilt or the rugged rig?

Bubbas Garage Vlogs well it’s hard to say since the Smittybilt cover a little more area but are new no complaints from our crew member yet but curious to see how they last. I’ve had my Rugged Ridge for 3 years and had one break but still usable, they have held up great for 3 years of abuse. So long term I say Rugged Ridge holds up great. Smittybilt will shall see. @@IStrokerl well we don’t use them anymore haha. We really quit caring after starting to rock crawl scratching seemed like nothing compared to rocks crushing in panels.

Absolutely not. We go through rough brush and have never lost one. The little tiny pieces on the bottom rocker are not as secure. But the large magnets never move.

I definitely wouldn’t. These should only be used for a few days , 1 week max depending on temps. They start to stick to the Jeep any longer and can get water and dirt behind them . Getting water on they makes that worse they stick bad. These are for running a scratchy trail or 2 and removing. Not really for esthetics.

@@monsta216ify your welcome. Yeah I figured. Most people ask for that reason they like the look. But they are kind of a pain in the neck unless you’re truly looking for something to save your paint through brushy trails. They work great for that. Haha.

Not more than a week depending upon rain/heat dust /mud ect. I have gone a week with them on but you need to check to insure they don't start to stick. If they start to stick they need to be removed.

Is this for looks, or for protecting your paint while off-reading? If it’s the latter, I really don’t understand that mentality. It’s a Jeep!!! Get it dirty and give it some battle scars!

They are for protection. In Arizona without them you wont have Any paint left after a couple years of wheeling. Cat claws cut all the way to bare metal. We definitely get dirty and have scars but who wants their paint flaking off after just buying it.

Uhhh not really sure. I would think you would have to try a self etching primer and then paint but it’s a really smooth surface I don’t know if it will stick. I guess if you were really wanting to change the color you could try a vinyl wrap that would probably stick to it better than paint.
