Here is a Delicious way to make some Juicy Smoked Drunken Drumsticks.
Recipe from Jeff at Smoking-Meats.com : www.smoking-me...
Ingredients:
Chicken Drumsticks
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Kosher Salt
40 Ounces Water
2-12 Ounce Beers
Chicken Rub
BBQ Sauce
Make Brine by adding Salt and Brown Sugar to Water. Stir until dissolved. Add 24 Ounces of Beer and continue to stir. Soak Chicken Drumsticks in Brine for 2-3 Hours.
Remove from Brine and Rinse well. Dry off with Paper Towels. Apply Chicken Rub of your choice.
Smoke for 1 1/2 - 2 Hours, or until internal temperature reaches 166 degrees Fahrenheit.
Mix BBQ Sauce and Beer together, and apply to Chicken Drumsticks for last 20 minutes to form a nice glaze. Eat and Enjoy!

They look great,. I made drum sticks last night. I was putting the video together this morning. I took a coffee fill up break and saw this in my feed and had to take time to watch. So glad I did. Drum sticks have been on special at a local grocery store almost all summer, so I've been eating a lot lately. Your recipe serms perfect. Thanks.

Looks great. Maybe I missed it but what was the total cook time for those on your PBC ?
@SmokingBBQ
@SmokingBBQ 2 жыл бұрын
Did this video a few years ago, so I can't remember the exact cooking time. Cook till they reach 166 degrees, probably will take 1 1/2-2 hours total cooking time. Thanks for stopping by!

What was temperature you cooked?
@SmokingBBQ
@SmokingBBQ 3 жыл бұрын
The Pit Barrel Cooker usually runs between 275-310 degrees. Be more concerned with the temperature of the food, not the PBC. Good luck, and thank for stopping by!

@@OddRobb I can hear them almost every night when Disneyland sets them off as the park closes. Plus Costa Mesa allows fireworks in the city around the 4th of July, so something is always blowing up! Thanks again for watching!

It’s not as bad as you’d expect. The fact that this smoker is honestly set and forget, it’s actually a pretty easy compromise. Plus, hanging ribs on the bars is so freaking sweet

Yeah that rebar really stabilizes the temp.........wtf
@SmokingBBQ
@SmokingBBQ 5 жыл бұрын
Yes, the rebar does stabilize the temp, as it was designed that way. If you leave the rebar out it will run much hotter.
