Great post! This is one of the few times when the band performed live on Soul Train. This song is a tribute to us, the fans. Smokey is saying that if we love his music and performing so much because of the way it makes us feel and the impact it has had on our lives, then we give him inspiration because of our love. Or something like that. Hahahahaha
