Yes that's what I'm a talking about. I started making drier pork chops pan milk gravey, mashed potatoes and corn or home canned green beans. While out camping on the open fire. I had extra guest's that day. And had no left overs for a clear day the next day.

Yes mother always cooked the wild games in the pressure cooker too take off the fat then baked the meat in the oven with potatoes carrots and onions. Ground hog ,squirrels,rabbits,raccoons. Every Sunday. With extra guest's showing up. What ever was in season. Those were the good old days witch will have been done again with the way the costs are rising . I have my grandmothers size 14 iron skillet witch I've Fed a lot people with. Mother passed it on too me cause I'm the one that has used it the most camping meals and more .

I use Russet potatoes and (soft compound butter with garlic and basil). I run the potatoes through a ricer instead of mashing by hand or with a kitchen aid mixer. Very quick and easy to control how creamy by stirring in the butter and a little milk at a time.

AB your mashed potatoes are very similar to mine, so now I know I’m doing it right. Are use butter sour cream and heavy whipping cream and seasonings I also use roasted garlic in my mashed potatoes which is awesome.
