Wow, I’m so early! I’m from Sweden and I’ve never had cornbread, what do you eat it with? The recipe reminds me of my own grandmother’s recipe for “oven pancake”, which is a little bit like this but no sugar in the batter and bacon added to the batter. Oh, and no cornmeal, this is old school Swedish peasant food so plain wheat flour only, it’ll stick to your ribs so you’ll be fine during the winter. I feel grateful to get to see your grandma’s recipe, and learn about American cuisine to boot!

Another thing you could do with the drizzle is get some long toothpicks and poke some holes around the cornbread so that when you pour the drizzle on it it seeps into the holes and makes an even more luscious cornbread.

I did mine wit the limas that had soaked overnight. I added a lil fried bacon in addition to the dry seasoning, then I laid a lil baked pork chop on the side. We ate GOOD that day lol
