McDonald's Filet-O-Fish | Copycat Recipe - Check it out folks! This Copycat Filet-O-Fish sandwich from McDonald's but better(trust me)! This super quick and easy recipe is the perfect weekday lunch or dinner! The sauce is what makes it folks! You've got to try it! Enjoy!

Ingredients:
Brioche Buns
White Cod Filet
Cheese Slices
Vegetable Oil (for frying)
Dry Ingredients:
1 cup Flour
Creole Kick (to taste), yes, taste your flour
Salt and Pepper (to taste)
Wet Ingredients:
1 cup Flour
1 tbsp Garlic Powder
1 tbsp Onion Powder
Creole Kick (to taste)
Salt and Pepper (to taste)
1 Bottle of Beer, can use seltzer water
Cajun Tartar Sauce:
1 cup Mayo
1 tbsp Dill Relish
1/4 - 1/3 Red Onion, finely diced (optional)
1 tsp Red Wine Vinegar
1 tsp Creole Kick or your favorite creole seasoning
1/tsp Sugar
1 tsp Dill Weed

In Sweden they have this Swedish equivalent to Macdonald’s, only they sell actual food in there, not junk like Macdonald’s _meaning that from the fries, to the meat to the fish everything is real and tastes like it too. The place is called Max and the fish fillet looks just like this, real crispy fried, fresh fish. It’s beyond delicious! Every time I fly in I have to go get me one. I seldom think that places like Swedish Max may well be what American fast food chains first started by being, real comfort fast food places. Eventually greed took over as they expanded, and it became all about quantity, so as we know quality went out the window really fast. Thank god for places like Swedish Max tho, and thank god for people like AB for keeping it real, and real tasty for us all.

AB you had me at "beer batter". Here in Newfoundland we know about fried fish, and North Atlantic cod is still the best in my book. We've never used cajun spices in our batter but you've inspired my wife to try something new. We know some people that get cod straight off the trawler, caught less than a day before we put it in a pan. Cheers from Canada!

Minus all the garbage in a fast food sandwich! I gave-up fast food decades ago. They even keep salads fresh (for days) with chemicals! I love my health and want to keep it that way!
