I have listened to this over and over and over. This is so good it’s almost sinful! Lol The piano, the guitar, the trumpet, the orchestra, and of course, the voice. You can feel the Blues in your bones when it’s done right. Don’t get me started about how phenomenal Ray Charles was!!

That to me was a massive minus to Aretha Franklin who for fear of flying never set foot outside her country.

i have no new words... speechless like Ray here.... i too will always remember where I was when Ray died-- I believe Pres Reagan was in lying in state the same day and both shared equal news time.. .I was watching it all go down on a tiny TV screen in an elevator in Chicago, and shared the news with a panel I was giving at the Chicago Blues Festival that very afternoon. How can one have such mastery of the keys without vision....I have been playing piano for over 10 years and this is just....Amazing is not even the word. Ray was not just a 'natural' musician. He was a schooled musician, trained in classics as well as other forms of music. He simply was a genius, which made him appear to be 'natural' at it. I repeat, he was a genius. He operated on a level above the average person.
