Ms Chris.... my Grandmother's name is Cora. She is deceased. But her spirit always meets me in the kitchen when I cook. That's where we spent much of our time together. Everyone says she lives in me. After watching so many of your videos...she lives through you too. I know these are great recipes because this is how we used to cook in her kitchen. Everything was always perfect and we always had a house full of guests. Thank you for all you do. I absolutely love your channel.

Hey Niece, Thin it right away. If you are adding meat thin it more then if no meat is added, bcuz the flour from the meat with make the gravy, more thicker. Also, yes you can use beef broth. It will work with any flavoring you like. From your TT :)

MY GOSH!!! I made this tonight (10/20/19) and it was unbelievably simple to prepare and ever so tasty! I had several top sirloin steaks that I purchased on sale ($1 off each). Took them all out of the freezer (5 of them), thawed, washed and seasoned (sea salt, cracked black pepper, garlic/onion powder, sweet basil)then floured on all sides. I sauteed in used chicken grease (canola). Removed, then sauteed rough-chopped onions, removed. I had a box of beef broth in the back of my pantry, poured it into the skillet, added the broth and flour slurry (flour and water), brought to a boil, then added the steak and onions back to the gravy. The eats were nothing short of amazing! It was completely ready in under 45 minutes! Thank you, Chris! I literally cherish you and your channel. Next week I'll be doing your rendeition of peaches in crescent rolls. Been dreamin' about them since I watched the video the first time. Again, thank you. You are indeed a gemstone of the highest quality! Proof? Yours are the only chitlins I would try!

Oh this looks sooooo good. NY Strip is pretty expensive but no reason why you couldn't use a top sirloin or flank steak and just cook it longer in the gravy till tender. I would probably get out the meat tenderizer and give it a few whacks before getting started. This is old school, my mother made this and we loved it. Thank you Great recipe great demonstration.:o)
