- To defeat Lucy!
Before you wonder why it looks easy, I did spend a two days or so working on inheriting skills I needed and maxing the stats for everyone before attempted the fight.
If I didn't, this battle would've taken 2-3x longer (due to lack of Strength and Pierce) AND there will be lots of deaths (since most demon's Vitality are low, hence much more damage received from low defense and HP).
As usual, buffs and debuffs are extremely important as it cuts down the damage by tons.
Having Pierce on all my demons allow me to speed up beating Lucy since without "Pierce" all damage will be reduced by 75%.

2 more weeks till Trinity Universe.. but right now I'm kind of streaming DDS1 and other games people might be interested in seeing (that I have) until then.

It’s not just aesthetic. During the Lucifer fight, any effects based on the Kagutsuchi phase don’t work (i.e. Bright/Dark Might)

The world of Nocturne is dead. You killed Kagatsuchi, creation can no longer occur in it. There are still infinite worlds that are all connected due to the amala network though. The DF in DDS is just a memory from the network

If you keep the original Pixie you obtain at the very beginning of the game, and never "Part With" the demons that the Pixie fuses with, then in the 5th Kalpa there's a door that only lets you pass if you have that demon. Once inside, that demon transforms into a level 80 Pixie with all of the dyne spells, Megidolaon, Mediarahan, Samarecarm and all stats at 30.

@sora412zx It's an indication that the "Pierce" skill has activated. It activates when an enemy normally resists, nulls or absorbs your physical attacks, and bypasses it to inflict full damage. Without this skill, Lucifer only takes 25% damage from all attacks since he resists everything, even "Almighty" damage!

I also like how Metatron basically shrugs and does a prayer right after Lucifer's attacks, completely undoing his progress. He's like, "Bitch please!"

You're right I was thinking of Doom Dragon. Fusion Dragon uses Outer Space. They both spam there respective moves when they get low though, so it's still the same concept, but thanks for pointing that out for me.

You can fuse the Lilim, too: like I said, just make sure that the demons that result from any fusion with a demon that had that Pixie in its fusion history never get removed from your party. That demon should stay at the top of your list, so it should be easy to tell which one it is. Keep in mind though, if you want that Pixie you're going to have to go for the True Demon Ending. For that, you need to fight all of the fiends and get into the 5th Kalpa.

Yeah: you can continue to fuse it with other demons, and have it evolve, just as long as you never "part with" the resulting demons from the fusion. So, don't part with any demons if you want to be on the safe side! Also, there's a side quest in which you're asked to give a demon to someone so they can dig a hole. Make sure you don't give your oldest demon to him. And I checked the Pixie on my file: She has Maziodyne, Megidolaon, Mediarahan, Samerecarm, and Endure.

only thing that carries over is the demon list and the extra press turns from the burial tombs if you did it. Note though if you get 100% on the demon list I believe you get a huge discount on all future summons from it

I just realized, this is basically the same fight as Metatron: *God's strongest angels *Same "come at me bro" stance *Damage resistance against everything (50% for Metatron, 75% for Louis) *mostly attack with full-party Almighty spells

@ShadowBaofu He's playing on Normal though, so nothing Lucifer can do is really nasty anyway. On Hard mode Lucifer can kill a 999 HP MC in one round by using Root of Evil and then a regular attack (it's almighty and almost always criticals on Hard)

I'm not quite sure what you're trying to imply with the reincarnation thing, but regardless the Hitoshura that's faced in Avatar Tuner isn't the actual Hitoshura: it's a figment; a shadow; a memory, and probably best viewed as a cameo unless stated otherwise.

I think if you buff yourself and debuff the boss more than 4 times(max), the boss will cast dekaja and dekunda. That's what I learned from Strange Journey :o

First time fight this boss, i finish sidequest but didn't know about pierce ability and took almost 2 hourse to win this fight. Second run with pierce and get all my frontline demon with pierce it just took 15 minutes. Demifiend is too op if you know how to use him.

yup, not the hardest ulitmate boss, but a fun battle none the less, and it's more fufilling if you wing it with your MC doing the damage and the rest buffing/debuffing/healing. Makes sense that the MC would be the one to handle lucifer personally

Not the hardest final boss ever, but still challenging if you don't have Pierce on everyone. It would have been a whole different ball game though if they gave Lucifer something like Dragon Eye and had him cast Dekaja/Dekunda every turn you buffed or debuffed. Now THAT would be a small nightmare.

i was lvl 87 when i attemted this, my team was thor,gabriel,bishamon, and trumpeter. i think he was an ok boss, wasnt so hard compared to some other turn based game bosses, like ffx-2 for example

i haven't played dds2 yet but here's my guess: lucifer. since in nocturne lucifier is created when the old man and the little boy are both part of satan combine so i guess lucifier but idk completely. from a game perspective satan is more powerful

Of course, you still have to remember that in Devil Survivor, you're just a bunch of humans with 3DS's that can summon demons. Demi-Fiend don't need any fancy devices to summon demons.

As great of a final boss battle this was, I don’t see the True Demon Route as a possible canon ending anymore, being that if the world is dead and the angels and demons are gonna have their “final” battle, why would SMTIV exist? Naturally it would of made sense if this was the last game. Plus isn’t the point of being a Messiah to follow neither Chaos or Law, but to pick your own path which is Neutral?

My comment was a year ago and after seeing the SMTV trailer I'm not too sure about what I said, being that Lucifer from this game talks about God being dead, so maybe this is the canon ending after all. Though I'm also not sure cuz the Diamond Realm is a thing in SMTIVA but idk if that's a canon thing or not. But it does seem fun with all the things about Demi-Fiend being shown.
