Luckily here at the shop, one of the composite gurus gave me a half a garbage bag of microbaloons and about a gallon sized container of milled fiber, for use in fiberglass resin. So he said use the micro where you'd use filler , and if you have a big gap or need strength then use the milled fiber. I drilled some holes to bolt the fender on, didn't like them ,so I filled em back in with the milled fiber, no cloth needed for a repair. The micro sands nice, the milled fiber does not, that stuff is like sanding asphalt. I'll fill a gap with the milled fiber, but I learned my lesson to leave it low.
