Awesome video! This helps the process make so much more sense to me so when I do this same kit on my 70’ Torino I have these videos to reference

Great video, thanks for putting this together. Just wondering why you didn't use the AJE full Colt 65 kit with A-arms and Coil overs?

Glad i came across this video. Makes me want to pull my 68 coupe from under the tap and start on this conversion. Can you give us a link to the parts??
@FollowTheBuilds4 жыл бұрын
You should start! So I list most of the parts in part 3 and part 4. I do have a revision vid on the tie rod ends coming up...I incorrectly use stock fox body tie rod ends when I should have used a bolt through set (more to come on this). kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJS4gmOYjpJrobc

I’ve got a running 96 cobra drivetrain, I just wonder if I could just swap in that stock k member and use the new style suspension, cut what I don’t need from the 67.
@FollowTheBuilds2 жыл бұрын
You could use the 96 drivetrain…you can use the front suspension but I would recommend using fox coil overs. Sounds like a fun build!

are you using the same suspension ? "Mustang AJE Suspension Front Suspension Kit" if yes, I thought you have to remove the shock towers ? in this video, he didnt.

I know there's a lot of ways to do this and they're all probably fine. Wondering why you chose to keep the shock Tower at all when there are so many ways to completely eliminate it?
@FollowTheBuilds2 жыл бұрын
Great question and something I wrestled with. Finally landed on McPherson SN95 set up as modern mustang has. It retains the shock tower. I love the adjustability of it all and the ability to lock it down once in spec. The mustang II front end is proven and a great option I just went this route.
@geniferteal41782 жыл бұрын
@@FollowTheBuilds I have a falcon with similar chassis that will get moded some day. I like the electric steering. I'll probably look for a lower profile suspension. Lot's of good work here.

Can you use a stock k member
@grgautomotive63134 жыл бұрын
What k member is that. I haven't found anything describing the kit you used or parts used.
@FollowTheBuilds3 жыл бұрын
Hey there. The K member is AJE part number MU-92UM. I describe the other parts I use in the subsequent vids. I’ve added the parts in the description.
@SpeedyBoyy2 жыл бұрын
So you cant put a coyote motor right ? because you need to remove the shock tower correct ? I am trying to do a coyote swap on my 1965 mustang and I was looking at "Mustang AJE Suspension Front Suspension Kit" but I see that you trimp the schock towers. can you still fit a coyote?
@FollowTheBuilds2 жыл бұрын
You can fit a Coyote with the shock towers notched. 28.5” clearance is required. I got 29” so…so it’s close! Another option is to make the front radiator support removable…that way you can slide the drivetrain vs lower it in.
@wolfthornhawkridge57053 жыл бұрын
Did you use the drop spindles? It looks low considering no engine in the car?
@FollowTheBuilds3 жыл бұрын
Yes 2” SN95 drop spindles. They are at the lowest setting still with quite a bit of travel. Hope to upload an update soon with more details.
@wolfthornhawkridge57053 жыл бұрын
@@FollowTheBuilds thanks so much, I saw in a later episode you called out the 2” drop. Can’t wait to see when you get everything completed ✅ thanks for the videos they are a big help!

The music is horrendous and way to loud. Makes the video unbearable to watch unless you mute the video and put on subtitles. The entire video would of been much better simply without the music.
