Snake - Maximum score (tool-assisted)

I get the maximum possible score on the classic snake game. After googling for hours, this homebrew version for GBA was the only one I could find. If you know any others, for other consoles like NES, SNES, Gameboy, Master System, Genesis, GBA or Playstation, let me know. It's a little strange that it's so hard to find considering it's such a well known game, but it's such a simple game that it can't be sold alone, so it can only be included as a mini-game or in some kind of collection.
The field in which you can move in the game is pretty small (8x13=104), so it was hard to write something recognizable with the snake's tail.

The sugar from fruits don't effect humans unless you eat 300 pieces of fruit a day. Humans were made and adapted to natural sugar from fruit, so our bodies can handle it. It's ok to eat a lot of fruit. Don't be tricked by those silly doctors! Also, fruit are very high in water, so they have very little calories. Something like a watermelon is only 1,000-1,500(really big melons) calories.

Yeah, the cherries don't spawn on the snake's body, so if a cherry would be predetermined to spawn at a place where the snake currently happens to be in, it spawns at another place, so you can manipulate the position of the cherries slightly with the body of the snake.

3iikka you're correct for a typical case and semi-correct for this case. while making a TAS you can essentially control your chances, like in a RPG game you can pretty much make them crit every time and make the enemies miss every time, but it costs more time to make which is probably why this guy didn't make the cherry appear right in front of him every time.

Sam Arrow I agree completely, but the RNG behind those cherries is bloody hard to predict. The TASers probably ran this for hours until they got the right RNG or simply manipulated it. But yes, if you were lucky and fast enough to react, this is possible.

StarTard8 Manipulating the cherries isn't that hard, all you have to remember is that the cherries can't be in the same block as a section of the snake, so as the snake gets longer, you can fill up sections completely to ensure the cherry spawns somewhere you can get at it.

lunavixen015 You don't actually have to manipulate them in any degree, writing an algorithm for a snake game would be extremely easy, as is just simply playing it having written my own game of snake a while back, because it works on a grid, as long as you follow the exact same pattern on the screen, theoretically the maximum number of cycles needed would be the width * height, this is assuming a starting snake of size 1, and only growing 1 length per apple, this also would assume that the apple could actually spawn in the exact same place each time, so it really becomes much less, probably closer to about 30 laps around, but I haven't bothered to do the probability calculation
