A YOUNG woman takes care of more than 70 reptiles - and they live with her at home. 21-year-old, Savi Serrott, has been dubbed the ‘Reptile Queen’ for her work with giant snakes and lizards - including an eight-foot Argentine Boa constrictor. Savi even goes out hunting for Burmese pythons in the Everglades during her spare time, something she chooses to do for the ‘conservation of the ecosystem’. Savi, who resides in Miami, acknowledges that most of her pets have the potential to be deadly, but that is something that has never phased her.

Nick O'Leary Minus cage upgrades + initial setup, I have over 20 animals and $350 is about the price of a proper ball python setup. $350 is likely just food and bedding.

@redvorchannel
@redvorchannel 4 жыл бұрын
I'm sure he fed it a day or two before bringing it knowing it wasn't going to be looking for a meal which would be when it's most likely to constrict her. Also he knows of ways to get the snake off of her and the point he was making was to NEVER HOLD IT ALONE. Good grief people always missing the point completely and usually missing it purposely just to make stupid comments like this.
@gagetaylor192
@gagetaylor192 3 жыл бұрын
I think he meant not to hold it by yourself. As in if it were just her, or just him, or the biggest guy alone wouldn't be able to. It was her, the guy, and hell you could even count the cameraman. He just worded it poorly.
@pearldab7781
@pearldab7781 3 жыл бұрын
@redvor channel 1076 If the snake was fed a couple days before this it makes it even worse lol. You never handle a snake for at least 24 hours after eating as they can regurgitate their meal if they feel stressed, and for large boas like this that each large meals, it’s best not to handle them at all for multiple days. Even if that was the case it doesn’t change how the “expert” was completely mishandling the snake. Snakes dont like when their heads are touched or approached and naturally react defensively. l It was completely calm in the woman’s grasp, it was only when he went after it’s head it showed any signs of defensiveness. He might be right when he says it has a very intense feeding response, but it’s no wonder he thinks it’s aggressive when he completely mishandled it.

Some people do have experience and have advice or valid opinions. Just because all you can see is a channel name and subscriber count doesn’t mean they don’t have experience. You have no idea what people have done in their life. Me for example I’ve been to Africa with big cats, I’ve had reptiles for 3 years so far and research and learn everyday. Maybe fact check people’s advice before commenting hate towards them on being uneducated.

Animal Lover I do believe you are completely wrong about this comment you seem to know nothing about reptiles of you agree with this video as no snake is aggressive only defensive you are a scary giant creature to them invading there territory and the “animal expert” know nothing he coils a Burmese python round her neck that a no you never let a big constrictor to do a full coil of your neck that is a no no and he is deathly afraid of the snake and the video dramatises the reaction of the snake retreating it head away from the man trying to grab it you can spend as much time as you want with big cats but you cannot comment on the video saying you agree with it when you have no idea about the reptile community

As a person with a degree in herpotolgy. I am amazing with her attitude and understand of the danger. The dedication and individual care and focus she points to each animal is out of this world. THE BEST PART OF THIS ALL is she's taking the time to be TRAINED( Joe ain't the best tho,I will say,but he is teach her correct things especially given her small size.) in the handling of larger snakes. My she go far in life and have the best career in the future

@@kealynbosrock9905 no problem letting kids catch (safe) animals as long as they let them go. People these days seem to think everything is dangerous and god forbid a kid be a kid and play outside. I used to catch toads and frogs and all kinds of stuff when I was really little.
