Hey man, I like your videos because you keep it simple and don’t have those wordings music on it, is you the ocean and the fishing. Good work and keep like that. I like when you talk about the gear that you are using, well done.

What weight is your jig head in the shallow water in narrow neck? Would you make one video to share your VHF sitting for use in NZ please?
@DeltaKayakFishingNZ2 жыл бұрын
Here I am using a 3/8oz jig head. It may seem slightly heavy for 8m of watwbut Narrow Neck often has quite a lot of current so a bit more weight is needed. VHF radios come pre-set with channel frequencies etc. You can find charts of which channels to use in which areas, but more than happy to do a video if you'd like 🎣

@@DeltaKayakFishingNZ Here is my first question. Do we need to register MMSI for Kayak fishing VHF? only $50 from I read. I am using a Cobra.

good video mate, may try narrow neck next time. Sullivan’s is def dropping off, looks like there moving inshore.

Thanks Richard. I highly recommend Narrow Neck if you are after a feed, seem to be endless amounts of pannys

Learning a lot from your videos, thanks! Do you have much luck fishing either side of low tide in the shallows around Narrow Neck, or best either side of high with a bit more water?
@DeltaKayakFishingNZ2 жыл бұрын
Thanks man glad you're learning. I find fishing is best on the incoming tide, however I catch quite consistently during most tide phases
