Did. You have the Viking 400 if so what did you think of it has I have the Viking GT and want to get the reload or the 400 but wanted to get your thoughts first

Hey Kyle yeah I had a 400 before the reload. The things I like about the reload over the 400, is that the entire fish finder setup is integrated into the tackle pod (transducer too), and it also has more storage (I like that I can fit my entire ctug trolley into the front hatch). Those two factors (in my opinion) are the only things that make the reload 'better'. I don't notice any difference in the water. If anything the 400 feels easier to paddle as it is noticeably lighter. Both are extremely stable and handle rough water very well.

How far are from shore do you have boat people in case you get into trpuble

No I will often go out alone, a few kilometers off shore. I always take two forms of waterproof, easily accessible communication (vhf radio, cellphone in waterproof case) should I get into trouble.

Hey mate have the exact same set up but with the bixpy, went out today for the first time, what do you have your Transducer set at on your finder, had depth, water temp. Speed etc but no sign of sign on sounder when fish where under me, I must have something set wrong, awesome setup though filled the fish bag pretty quick

Hey bro lucky you with the bixpy! Make sure that your sonar is turned on (push power button to get to settings and its in there) let me know if it's not that and we'll figure it out!

@@DeltaKayakFishingNZ hey bro thanks for reply, yeah turn sonar on when hit water, have changed couple settings hopefully sorted it, will wait and see when go out next, just wondering what your transducer is set on,mine was on unknown, but charged to splitshot to match Transducer, not sure, thanks anyway have a good Xmas, tightlines 🤙

@@jkghbay6632 nice good to hear you got it sorted. I use Davinci Resolve. Can be overwhelming at first but super easy to use. A guy calledd Casey Farris (something like that) makes great tutorial videos on KZbin. I'm still learning too for sure
