This was an empty official Snes Classic case I purchased on ebay from someone who was parting it out for unknown reasons. Which was exactly what I was looking for. No Snes Classic hardware was harmed during the filming of this project.

My brothers and I always played Street Fighter when it first released on SNES. Until we got the game gear which ultimately broke our brotherhood bcuz I cheated too too much with that thing, they hated me! Lol, i’m glad you called it Game Genie because that’s how I remember the name, not by game gear. Thanks for the memories! Nice mod.

I love this build! I am a huge fan of aesthetics, and love pi3 mods of licensed classic systems versus look alike pi cases. I am working on a similar build on a SNES Classic case, and was wondering how you re-purposed the working start/select from the original board?

I know this video is 5years old and I hope you see this comment. Ive got a raspberry pi 3 and a PN532 nfc reader. Im trying to get a setup like this without any case. Any advice on where to start or what code you used to get yours working? Im having a really hard time trying to figure this out. Thanks in advance.

Is it the same done by Daftmike ?
@8-Bit_Flashback7 жыл бұрын
Simular but some of the components are diffrent and the assembly is quite a bit different. Daft uses a 3d printed case and in this video im using a official snes classic case. But Daftmike does great qaulity work!
@Beaululu7 жыл бұрын
8 Bit Flashback oh ok ! I understand now ! Thanks for your reply ! And by the way, do you expect to do the same with the european Super Nintendo version ? Amazing job !
@8-Bit_Flashback7 жыл бұрын
thanks. I don't have a euro version at the moment but I might just 3d print one in the future it would assemble pretty much the same on the inside.
@Beaululu7 жыл бұрын
That would be great ! I think you would have a lot of success with that version too ! I would be the first one to purchase it ! :-)

This is what Nintendo should have done from the beginning. They could have had the games that the original have in a "SNES mini collection 1" cartridge and later released cartridges with 10 games or so in different collections.

@Styleshift886 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry. I actually meant to ask If you had any formal education that helped you with these projects. I am pretty close in skill with the Pi to most of the youtubers that discuss it. It's just that this was the first time that I've seen anyone do anything like this on KZbin and it made me realize how much I need to work on in terms of my hardware modding skills. Actually I haven't seen anyone do something like this since I watched this video. It's freaking cool. Usually people just stop at "Snes looking case" and call it a day.
