The black dial of the one with day at 6 o'clock is so rich and deep, it looks almost like enamel. I got myself a SNK381 this week and I found that this line of "5s" (the SNKS, with the 7S26-01V0 case type) is the most elegant out of all, even more elegant than the SNXS75/77/79 (the ones with the saucer-type case). Also, the lume on this watches is simply insane. THe SNK 381 has a dial with all the numerals on it, and the numerals are fully lumed. The night-time legibility is on par with the Orient Kamasu's. The lume is not only equally bright, but it lasts just as long, all the way through the night. Awesome little watches these OG "5s"! On the topic of your mods - the dial and the case go great together, but what happened to the fit of the end-link to the case. It looks baaaaaad!

I have done something similar using a snk809 case and carried out a complete movement swap from a snk381 watch. All numerals are full lumed.

Hi, that is a nice mod done well, is the dial the usual 28.5mm diameter and 7s26 size so could fit into an SKX style or unbranded case?

Seiko don’t make a Tiffany blue colour dial - any you see with a seiko logo will be fakes. You can get a nice Lucius Atelier dial though in that colour

Good question, I think that odd day wheel is designed only for 4 o’clock cases.. I could be wrong though, didn’t think to try.

Client wanted the black date, I had the part so fit it, saves cost in getting a new Mvt, the day is specific to this watch dial, so you have to move it with the dial anyway!
