Been trying to gain weight over the past few months (which has been a slow process as I'm trying to gain muscle rather than just fat) and still got 4lbs to go but nearly back to a healthy weight for the first time in four years :) Best wishes to anyone else trying to get healthier!

It's kinda crazy watching these and now knowing there's new official disorders in the DSM-5 they just... didn't have back then. Binge Eating Disorder used to be a subset of EDNOS/OSFED (Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified, now Other Specified Feeding and Eating Disorders) and is thankfully becoming more recognized for the debilitating disorder it is. People don't ENJOY living like that. Orthorexia isn't officially diagnosable but it's rising quickly and hopefully will become a recognized issue: compulsive disordered eating somewhat comparable to Anorexia Nervosa, but instead it's an obsession with healthy foods and lifestyle. Not that I'm a doctor ofc, but it really seems like that may be what Emma struggles with. Hope she's doing alright these days. A lot of people who think they've 'recovered' from severe eating disorders just move onto Orthorexia.

How can you tell if these super skinny's are anorexic or not? They appear to like control and phobic about food. What I do know about anorexia is that it takes at least seven years of therapy, on average to recover. I feel for these people.

I walked for 5 minutes today on my tred mill. I wanted to walk more, but since I haven't had much physical activity the last 20 years, I didn't want to hurt myself. I'll see how I feel tomorrow to see if I can walk longer. I want to loose weight, but I don't want hurt myself. I weight 18 stone right now 😞. But I used to weight 18 stone 10lb at the begining of the year so it's coming off slowly, but I need to exercise.

Cardio for fat loss is a losing battle... People should concentrate on strength training and feeding themselves accordingly (protein rich). The muscles built will take care of the fat by themselves.
@pokelynke8232 Жыл бұрын
@@Siegbert85 yes. I learned this. But protein is expensive and plant protein you need to eat... What was it again? I don't remember, but your body doesn't process plant protein like animal protein. I'm trying to add more beans and stuff to my diet but it's really hard because I don't like beans. 😆

If a person hates the gym, maybe the teachers are not good enough. Do they press people to get good at the excercise too fast? My yoga teacher did not jump on us when our exercise was not perfect , indeed, he said it would have the same benefits if done less well and i discovered that that was great, I coudl work on doing it better instead of being on the jump about being jumped on by the teacher and so I did nto hate yoga I loved Yoga, I had excercise and a nice quiet unstressfull time, I had as a child loved ballet too, my ballet teacher was quiert and did nto ask for us to do anything difficult just practice the same excercises all the time. We ofter have such a challenging time, and still we think challenging is fun but really, trulywe often love have a quiet time.
