Wanted to update you guys - my son is 8 weeks old and we are loving the Snoo more and more. He has been consistently sleeping for 4 hour stretches and last night he slept 5.5 hours (10-3) and then 3 hours (3:30-6:30). I will film another update as he grows but wanted to give this quick one for now!
@MyJewishMommyLife5 жыл бұрын
Second update - Corey is now almost 3 months old and has been consistently sleeping through the night for about a month. He is still exclusively breast fed and takes his last feed at 9, then usually wakes up between 5:45-7. If he wakes up closer to 5:45 he takes a quick feed and then sleeps until almost 8. So of course we are still loving our SNOO 🥰!

I think it's really cool that these can be rented for 5-6 months. That is a much greener option of reducing waste, especially electronic waste! Babies/baby things accumulate a lot of waste since they grow out of things so quickly, if you want this, but can't afford to buy one for keeps, or you want to be more green, consider renting one. It's only $30 a month! so $180 for the full 6 months.

What about the idea of having a wifi device right underneath your newborn's body? There's no conclusive evidence of negative impact of wifi radiation to the human body, but we still don't know the long term impacts of electromagnetic radiation such as those used by wi-fi and for the extended periods in this case (10-12 hours a day) on a body that has started to develop and grow. I don't feel very comfortable with that. Perhaps they can provide some shielding to shield the baby from the wifi communicator.

Thank you for your detailed review! Quick question: So if there are any instances wherein the Snoo doesn’t rock the baby back to sleep, does that simply mean that the baby needs to be fed or changed? And conversely, if the Snoo quickly rocks the baby back to sleep, does that mean that there’s little risk of us accidentally ignoring the baby’s essential needs?
@MyJewishMommyLife3 жыл бұрын
That’s right if you’re baby is really upset or needs something from you the Snoo rocking won’t put them back to sleep they’ll keep crying and the Snoo stops and has an alert if it reaches that amount of minutes (I forget the exact number)

Hi lovely lady, I’m just wondering if the snoo helped your baby during the 4 month sleep regression? My baby girl is 9 weeks old and loooves the snoo. She sleeps through the night also which is great. I keep getting told ‘oh wait for the regression’ you won’t sleep for ages 😌
@MyJewishMommyLife4 жыл бұрын
I think it did! I believe all babies have good and bad nights but I'm not so much a believer in 'regressions' that happen on a specific timeline, thats just me though! If your baby isn't sleeping well trust that in a few nights things will go back to the way they were.

How did it go transitioning him from the snoo when it was time?
@angiec90875 жыл бұрын
I kinda feel like the things that come out nowadays for babies keep us from the baby. Like baby needs us to rock them and want to be close to us. They want to feel us, hear us, smell us. All these fancy things take away from that.
@MyJewishMommyLife5 жыл бұрын
I agree!! I wear my son for a large portion of the day and if he cries at night i take him out of the Snoo and nurse him so for me I think I do what I can. I don't need him to be in a rocker/ swing in the day I can hold him or wear him but at night I do need sleep to be a good mom so I appreciate the help of the Snoo.

No, I wouldn't buy the Snoo. It is out of our budget but also I've read that it is NOT safe. The bassinet itself is safe but the velcro swaddle is a positioner thus not safe. AAP and FDA say to not use positioners with babies. Babies should also not be swaddled passed 8 weeks so it seems really pricey for a 2 month helper.
