About a foot of snow here John Deere pushes through it no problem. After these few driveways I did about 12 more, just didn't have the time to set up the camera. The first few driveways were a first pass which I later went to clean up

Headmount and hyperlapse make for a tough watch, highly recommend this video instead: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5Ouk3iueK1qmKs

Thanks for watching, and yes I got some quality seat time! (Also a lot of shoveling). I assume your tractor never makes that screech, some people have told me its dirty transaxle oil, or air gaps in the line. I'm planning on flushing the oil and putting new oil in. Has this ever been something that you had to do?

Michael, I change my hydraulic oil and filter about every 150 hrs. This includes the front axle on mine. JD recommends every 200 hrs for my machine but I do it more often because I switch in and out hydraulic implements a lot than most people which is a big source of oil contamination due to dirt etc. I also try to wipe down both male and female hydraulic ports prior to connection to help alleviate contamination.
@Michaelzeleznik4765
@Michaelzeleznik4765 7 жыл бұрын
Uh oh... The oil filter currently on my tractor says in white sharpie 810 hrs (when it was installed) and now i have close to 1200.... it's well over due a change. Hope I haven't seriously damaged the system yet.
@X748SE
@X748SE 7 жыл бұрын
Let's hope that a hydraulic oil and filter change will do the trick. I would do it sooner rather than later as it looks like you have a lot of customers relying on you this winter for snow removal.

Great snow plowing, just some CC. I for myself like to watch longer videos of these in real time. I had to watch in 1-2 minute segments. The hyper lapse got to me real fast. Just my opinion, but it was a great watching your machine plowing.

Great video I’m from Montreal Quebec and I do snow removal I use a toro. Snow blower power max i want to how many driveways you can do with on one tank of gas
@Michaelzeleznik4765
@Michaelzeleznik4765 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Honestly no clue. One tank of gas lasts me weeks in the winter lol. I'd say over 60 driveways, estimating 5min a driveway and that the tractor can ususlly go over 5 hours on a tank. Tank size is 6gal I believe.

nice. I'm planning on doing something similar next year just with a much larger tractor probably something in the 4 series or similar size in kubota...after plowing with my 2500 truck I don't want to be stopped by any amount of snow.
@Michaelzeleznik4765
@Michaelzeleznik4765 6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! I just bought a Chevy 2500hd, but I don't think I'll put a plow on it. The compact tractor is fun, tight, and amazing visibility all around. Plus, the snow blower makes life so much easier than trying to back drag. Good luck!
@rccrazy30
@rccrazy30 6 жыл бұрын
Great truck but definitely avoid it if you can. My original thought was to buy the tractor and step down into the new 1500 with the Duramax... but now I'm looking at tractor's that will be way over the towing capacity. So ill most likely keep my 2500 and keep the plow as a back up. My eventual plan is to get an inverted blower. To get started though im going to just go with a plow and a standard blower on the 3pt.
@Michaelzeleznik4765
@Michaelzeleznik4765 6 жыл бұрын
Sounds like a good plan. I used to have a 3 pt back blade on the tractor haha you will have the opposite setup. Will you look into a plow on a front end loader, or one is just the plow? How many driveways do you do?
@rccrazy30
@rccrazy30 6 жыл бұрын
Yeah most of our snowfalls are pretty light so the plow should do just fine...and the blower is for when we get snowfalls like the one in one of my videos we got 24" I had people begging haha. The plow will be on the loader that way if I really need to stack I can. Right now I only have a handful of driveways....don't really like beating up my truck and its a PITA maneuvering in residential driveways/street. The goal is to have 50 drives with the possibility of taking up to 150.

damn that's sweet! If my tractor had a third hydraulic output then I would definitely throw a blade on my loader

Oh, ok. I could’ve sworn I’ve seen a blower on the back of the tractor before. I say go with the ariens commercial 24”. I love my 30” troybilt 3090 but that probably wouldn’t fit in that rack

MPB Landscaping & Lawn Care oh yeah, a few years ago I had an Ariens 28" but it was too wide and too heavy for my rack on the back of the tractor so I sold it. Wish I had it in this storm

Kemmel Lawn Care thanks! It's called a cargo carrier it goes into a 2" hitch for receiver ball trailer hitches. I have a 3 point hitch and an attachment which converts the 3 point hitch to a 2" reciever

John Smith ? It's snow. Whats the problem. I dont blow it into the driveway. There is no salt in the snow that I am blowing so it will not damage the yard.
@JohnSmith-ug5ci
@JohnSmith-ug5ci 7 жыл бұрын
Michael Zeleznik, it is NOT your yard to use as a dumping ground. Have you ever thought of being a good neighbor and knocking on the door or calling them on the phone and asking permission to dump that snow in their yard?
@Michaelzeleznik4765
@Michaelzeleznik4765 7 жыл бұрын
Which yard are you talking about in the video? I didnt "dump" snow on any yard. If you are referring to the first property where I shot it towards the fence, that property next door I also provided snow removal for, as well as year-round yard service. BTW all that snow melted in 6 days so its not like it lasts their into the spring either. I'm not pushing into the yard, the snow blower evenly distributes it so it's very little extra snow.

Typical 47" John Deere blower, poor throwing distance. Have one for my 455, not impressed and I have had it in all kinds of snow.Reliable but way too much money for what you get. Compare this blower to Kubota's Bx tractors, Kubota garden tractors, no comparison. The new green coloured JD (Frontier) front mount for the 1 series looks far more impressive than these older blowers. JMHO. Tks for the video.

Brian Campbell I totally agree! For the price that I paid for this machine it is worth it though. It doesn't look like we are getting a single inch more of snow this year. I'm considering selling the blower and buying a 54" plow. What do you think?
