Usually you don't want to have a very thick foam when using snow foam, that is a very common misconception. Most snow foams are designed to "rinse" the dirt away and too thick foam prevents this action. Thick foam = marketing.

Honestly you can get a pressure washer smaller than this nowadays. My Bosch Aquatak 120 is about the size of a car battery, not bigger, and works just fine with a foam lance. Plus it can draw still water from a bucket or something similar, so you only really need a electrical outlet to wash your car. The pressure is nowhere near the actual gas powered units but it's actually useable for hoby use. The flow rate is about 1.5 gallons/minute or 6.5 liters/minute so you'd get 3.5 minutes of washing from a single 5 gal bucket. Get 2 and you are good to go, 7 minutes is plenty to wash a car.

for $200 CAD I instead got myself a Worx portable power washer, 1.1 foam cannon, and a short lance, and magnet for the short lance PSI hack(not needed if you keep the long lance). Just as portable(with the soda bottle adapter), less work, and better foam for about the same money.

After you use the IK 9 Foamer do you use a wash mitt or just rinse with a garden hose? Do you use a leaf blower to dry the car or towel? I love the GT350 and would like to get a 2019.

It would be nice if there was an battery powered option (20-24 volt). The landscaping industry has had them for a while. I use a backpack one to apply chemicals to my lawn. It’s consistent and no pumping.

So I know you have Foam-it. Do you think we're able to use the Foam-it to rinse it all off after a contact wash? I'm trying to figure a solution to take care of a fleet of cars without hose but can have run off and without needing to run thru a lot MF towel. Also to allow easy maintenance washes for non-detailers.

16 ounces of soap for one car wash is not saving soap . Most Hand-washing methods take up about 4 oz of soap for the entire car . Using the pump seems convenient but using it will NOT cut back on soap cost, will actually increase the cost .

This is pretty much the same price as a pressure washer. If you are the niche group who needs this because you live in an apartment or because of water restraints, you're probably better off just buying a car wash subscription. This product is overpriced. It's an industrial sprayer ($20) with a foaming tip filter ($5?)

One reason I've never liked those sprayers Is the cost when theirs nothing mechanical or electrical involved. It's a lot of money for mostly just plastic. I'd think they would sell for $40. Even the small ones are $30+ for a small foaming sprayer. It's overpriced for the work you need to put In IMO. I bought the small foaming one for wheels and engines. But that bug one seems like a waste to me. But who knows, maybe I'll buy one someday.

Poly Gloss would work just as good, same ratio seems to work well 4oz per gallon but you can experiment to see what works best for you

yes you can but youll need many and you will need to spray each panel with a good detailer or spray sealant to knock off any residue since most soaps need a good rinse. you can even use a spray bottle with water and go over the entire car with a drying towel quick

I agree with what other dude said, they are very expensive, but if you're watching this video because you're looking for a safer way to wash your car without spraying water everywhere I'll tell you what really works if you live an apartment or something like I did for awhile. I always use a rinseless wash solution and 3 buckets (3rd bucket for the wheels) and I would recommend pre foaming with AMMO frothe and then go straight into the wash panel by panel. That's the best method in my opinion and experience

Personally, the IK 9 is great but I think the 1.5 foamers are satisfactory. Not as much PSI, for sure, but adequate to lay down foam. Although, I usually have a couple on hand - one for foaming the wheels and another in a spray config with ONR as a first step...

Good video, I just received mine today but I am a little confused You said that you can do your car 5 times with one gallon of water which at the beginning and after you sprayed your car the first time that you only mixed 4 oz of solution per gallon. So how is it at the end you said you used about 16 oz of solution to wash your car when you said 4 oz per gallon is all you require to was your car 5 times on that gallon of water

you even confused me here, no what i meant in this video i used 16oz of mixed solution in the IK9 foamer after i fill it up and dilute you need to experiment with the nozzles and dilutions to see what works best for you if you decide to use this method without a power washer

The sole purpose of a tool is to release foam. To release foam, you don't need a pressure washer. The purpose of foam is to lift, encapsulate, and release contaminants.

I just tried 4oz to 1.3 gallons (max line) and was underwhelmed with the results from honeydew. Chemical guys recommends 1:16 ratio which would put us closer to 8-10oz in the IK foam 9. I'm going to try that next. Have you found a good ratio?
