In the ice climb, it's not so much that the Don has less power, or inherently less traction, but because it's so light, the tongue weight of the trailer is taking weight off the front tires. That is what was making it turn like that. Without the trailers, it would be much closer.

When comparing fuel consumption, you need to take into account the capacity of the fuel tank. The tiny fuel tank of the Don would make it a much worse vehicle than the Tuz. The .8 L difference in the avg consumption does not make up the 18L capacity deficiency.

I noticed one quite important difference: spintires original game is the only one saves traces of mud after leaving the game ! It's a bit casual and not real when for eg.: you drove 3 times on the same road so there are now deep mud, and road is destroyed; so the road is no longer usable, and you have to look for new path, or you have to wade through what you have did and thanks to that there is more realism. But in newer mudrunner and snowrunner the mud returns to the default state after restarting the game... :(

Yes...that is what I noticed and In snowrunner you don't even have to restart the game, This can happen even when switch to another region, Also there's one more interesting thing...if your scout vehicle get flipped, just leave it there and switch to other regions play for a bit and then switch back to flipped vehicle you'll notice that now the vehicle is flipped in slightly different orientation, Sometimes it's engine can be started and winch can be used for recovery, I used this trick 3-4 times with my scout 800 and chevy pickup.

I found a ''bug''. I'm not sure if it is a bug but here it goes. If you roll the truck, or the cargo, close the game immediately, so when you open the game the truck will be intact, and also the cargo.

@@User-qq3qz just goes to the last auto save point. So unless it saved as you were flipping that trick works. I like when you are low on fuel or damaged pulling into trailer store buy a repair/fuel trailer fix yourself then sell it straight after. Saves going back to garage sometimes.

One thing I noticed this weekend is that I'm loving all the scouts in the game, even the ones that don't seem as powerful as the rest. Sure, Tatarin is a beast surely, but man, taking the TUZ for a drive discovering all of the towers and getting upgrades on all maps was a ton of fun. Out of all the scouts that I have in my garage, I think the Interational LoadStar is my favorite due to its incredible stability and all-around performance.

My favorite scout is the YAR, which is cheap, unlocks on early level 10, very excellent off-road performance but it's stability is not quite the best. It might be slow on snow in Alaska surely, it has a decent fuel tank at 110L. And yes, tatarin has a fuel tank as large as a fullsize truck on 300L. I'm planning to get it on Rift but many minutes of nonsense driving to the rift map is a bit boring. It also has bigger tires than the tatatin at a 49" It's so capable even in stock, and i agree Khan Marshall is capable too but it only has 44" tires and only mudtires choice unlike the Yar who has AllTerrain, Off-Road, 1 additional mudtire shared from trucks which is the allrounder with balanced performance, and a chained. It also has a 4 wheeled configuration (more wheels mean better offroad) but the Yar has 6x6 config. All scouts are capable enough to tackle harsh swamps and deep mud. One small thing i don't like about the Loadstar is the engine sound and its looks lol.

74760 isn't as good as 74941. It has front clearance issues. The front gets hung up which stops you dead, damages your engine, and causes enough damage to unhook any trailer you're towing.

JA9MZ I used the 28 tires on the Don at the start and it was surprisingly zippy in light mud, Also I use it occasionally if I need to Bushwhack my way through dense forest (getting Tuz 420) It will always stay in my heart as “The Family Car”

Question. Why do you put chain tires when doing deep mud tests? Also, why do you try make vehicles similar when testing? If one vehicle has an advantage then let it have that advantage. Try doing Pros & Cons results when testing vehicles. One last thing, add snow to the tests, the tatarin cruises through the snow where as it would struggle in mud thats the same depth. Everyone's going to be driving in snow in Alaska and I find that its different to drive in compared to mud

back then, It doesn't have as much power as it has now becaue there's a more powerful engine available now but issue is that don is one of lightest vehicles in game and it often do a wheelie because of too much power but that's the case with top engine which in new game+ or hard mode doesn't make sense I think.

Please do Khan vs Yar scout comparison. I know Yar can go anywhere, but is it better than Khan ? Got Yar fully upgraded and its amazing (just ugly) Khan looks way better. IMO we should have option to get those buffy big tires for rest of scouts.

Avoz 64131 just because the range on the Avoz 5319 makes it essentially useless. The Avoz 73210 would beat both of them, if it didn't have Jay Leno's chin. Really hope they add a lift kit upgrade for that one.

If you choose "Mods" in the Main Menu you can get to your choice of two testing areas (X on the Xbox controller, or X on keyboard iirc). If you choose the Winter Testing Grounds and leave the garage yard you'll see a frozen lake a bit to the right. The hill is part of that.
