I can't believe how many guys I see riding the trails in the UP on these. Hope they put this kinda focus into Backcountry.

I think Ski-Doo is finally paying attention to common or useful sled mods. For example...short tunnel, easy to remove drive shaft, people have been trying to improve the cvt cooler for years, lighter rear end with more traction, improved panels, tube running boards. the list goes on. They didn't do things exactly like the modding community, but it looks like the effects might be similar.

@@208SledHead maybe 0.5% of mountain sleds sold have had chaincase issues. I live in the mountians so I see what snowmobiles are being towed down on a daily basis. And its not Skidoo.

@@marknewman8609 I live 45 minutes away from Island Park and I also see what's being towed out. And it's a pretty damn equal mix. The chain cases have been such a problem this year that the parts are on back order. Call your dealer and see how long it would take you to get them.

The Freeride 146 is still the PERFECT eastern guys sled who like to ditch bang and play in some deeper snow on the lake or on the transmission line.

Why are you saying the new chain case/driveshaft is a good thing when it's a known problem. People are blowing them up so much the parts are on back order.
