Snowy Tent Overnight on the Island

Camping solo overnight with tent on an island at the frozen Bothnian Bay (Bottenviken). Windy at first, then calm and heavy snowfall during night. Tent is Hilleberg Nammatj. A nice, relaxing winter adventure!

Going out to an island? I observe. Then...😲😲😲 .. across that ice!! Enjoyed with great interest and amusement, pegging the tent into the ice, then scooping the tent out of the snow after hearing it falling like gentle rain Also liked "Beanie-Cam" while setting up and cooking 👍 🌻🐞 Quite a decent expanse of iced water!

There a difference between below tree line and above tree line winter camping. I wouldn't recommend solo above the tree line for beginners. Checkout my latest video to see some blizzards and whiteouts.

Erik your vids are very unique... not much talking if any, so well put together, not sure if you read the comments but if you would possibly be open to a suggestion?.... I’ve noticed that some of your captures are in very heavy storms so if possible to maybe a 2 or 3 day vid that includes all the sounds of the storm would be fabulous. Please also if I may say that a longer video in this case would be most enjoyable even 45-60 minutes plus if only for the sound affects which you are a master.. :-)

Beautiful - I like the pattern of this frozen lake! It seems that in Sweden there is Winter. We have no Winter at all this year and temperatures between 5 and 10 degrees. It's a pitty! Thanks for sharing. Heini
