The moral hypocrisy of the show: When she decided to romance the 'Nice Doctor Guy' it was fine for her to heavily consider his physical appearance. But when he woke up to someone with a completely different physical form than the one he was attracted to, he is implied to be wrong and bad for leaving. But honestly the hypocrisy is not the worst thing about this show. It is the bad writing and bad characters, which even consistent messaging wouldn't ameliorate.

Easy, full female writers room. There are so few women who even understand the concept of "heroics", most are just self-entitled narcissists. The like heroes, they love heroes cuz they imagine themselves being the object of that heroes asmbition. Quite ironically objectifying themselves. But they dont understand what makes a hero a hero. Doing the right thing no matter the cost is a very male way of thinking and men understand WHY we think like this, its about honor, virtue and pride and justice, not the perverted SJW versions but the ACTUAL and good definitions if those words. This is why so many men give up their lives to protect people they dont even know, something 99.99% ov women would never do but instead call for a man to do for them. Realizing that there are things that matters more than money or yourself. Two things most women can never put anything above until they become mothers... and, more often than it should be, not even then. Even filling an entire room with them the chances are still astronomically slim. If they criteria is also to be a woke imbecile, the chances goes immediately to 0. No one who understands what a hero is, man or woman, would ever be a woke person. They only understand themselves and their own percieved plights which automatically exclude them from ever being or understanding the core of what makes a hero.
@filmandfirearms2 жыл бұрын
It's always funny to go back to old movies and shows and compare how different things were in the past. Even the actors made better heroes than heroes of most modern film. In Star Trek DS9, Andrew Robinson, who is claustrophobic, had to cram himself into a tight crawlspace, wearing thick makeup which already triggered his claustrophobia on occasion, and he did it despite having attacks. In fact, they even worked it into the episode, which made it that much better. That episode in particular was just packed full of masculine moments

Finally, it is incredibly stupid to try and get this guy for ‘practicing magic without a loiscense,’ for two reasons; one, there is no such legislation banning the practice of magic, meaning you can’t charge him for it; secondly, why aren’t you charging the guy for kidnapping a woman and placing her in a dangerous situation?! I don’t know how people find Wong to be the best part when they’ve literally nerfed him just like the rest of the MCU cast. This guy is the SORCERER SUPREME, and yet he goes to She-Hulk to complain about a guy who’s misusing magic and sues him over it. Like… really? THATS what you’re going with? My god this show’s logic and writing is the worst and it disgusts me that Twitter praises this kind of stuff.
@lirpa23002 жыл бұрын
Why is Wong still the sorcerer supreme anyway? Dr. Strange came back in Endgame, so there's no need for Wong to have that title or position anymore. He does nothing with it anyway but make cameos in movies and now TV shows, says a couple of lines and leaves through the portals. His character is just used to check the diversity and inclusion box for the MSHEU. They won't even write a decent storyline for him, he has this title but still is just a sidekick.
@noahsmith10532 жыл бұрын
Yea originally I was okay with him having the position, intially because Strange was gone for 5 years so he would be just ttrying to get back into the flow of what happened during the gap. But now Wong is clearly not competent enought to keep the job at all. Besides finding Shang-chi at the END, of his film he hasn't really filled me with confidence. While in Thor: Ragnarok as soon as Loki was discovered in New Yok he was captured.

So sad to see the house Stan Lee, Steve Ditko, & all the other fabulous writers & artists helped to build be reduced to this. Not a wonder Manga & Anime are king now they focus on story first not an agenda. DC isn't really any better. Frankly, I don't think this concept for a show is bad. A law and order type show that deals with the nuances of legal matters in a world with magic, gods, and mutants. The problem is that that kind of thing would require a lot of skilled writing and legal understanding. Which I know for a fact these writers aren't capable of achieving. I'd imagined it'd be a challenge for good writers, let alone these people.

@DuneStone68162 жыл бұрын
I agree. There's no reason you couldn't make a good series about a law firm specializing in superhumans. I think the main reasons this isn't working is 1) it's so silly that it clashes with the rest of the more grounded expanded universe and 2) the legal system is portrayed so sloppily that even a layperson finds it maddening. (Seriously, most of the characters should be held in contempt of court.) If they had a writing team who possessed the ability to write comedy that didn't rely on everyone being an eccentric idiot and some respect for how the legal process works, they might get a decent court dramedy.
