The former King, DALL-E of the house OpenAI, was a rather sloppy ruler. We have watched the young prince grow with interest, and now, we have assassinated the King and we have throned our rightful ruler, Midjourney of the house Discord, King of the Generators and the artists-without skill (me), breaker of chains, father of landscapes, Lord of the AI art generators and protector of the realm. The only drawback I see with midjourney, is that it was trained mostly on aesthetic digital art. It struggle making photos even when you specifically ask for them. And if you want something more realistic, gory or ugly Thought luck my friend, midjourney doesn't handle this well at all. I think we saw that very well in these examples.. you ask for a simple cartoon, or a simple sunset and it can't help but to draw an epic image full of details...

It's awesome that every image generate ai has its own strengths. currently midjourney is the easiest way to get nice images. I take it then into stable diffusion for img2img, inpainting and outpainting with infinity. But when it comes to custom styles and models there is no way around stable diffusion.

When i first used V4 i was shocked at how good it was, it seems to be really good at fantasy art and colorful, bright images then photo-realistic images, the stuff i have been seeing on the community page is incredible

I've found if you're not happy with your upscale, try running the upscale a few times and you often get some pretty different results. Generally it seems to improve details for most generations as far as I can tell. Of course, size limitations still suck for the time being.

I think midjourney is a little deceptive because of the hidden prompt injection jazzing up the result. If u added these hidden prompts to dalle2 youd get closer results. It also robs you of some prompts accuracy as those hidden prompts are things like "digital art" causing photos to look less real, hand drawn always looks like its done by industry professionals because of that prompt injection. So if you want beautiful art that doesn't always understand prompts then midjourney is a great goto. If you want an AI that understands your prompts really well then Dalle2 still wins but beautiful art requires experimenting with additional style tags to replicate those injected by midjourney.

Please read this to the end. Please listen to what artists are trying to tell about AI art genereters. It makes everything, from get your art out to people, to making a living out of it, much harder. I'm an artist, and outside of art, and visual story telling I'm not good at anything. I was born with a learning defenetly that effected my education significently, and because of it I can't do anything outside of art. This is literaly taking away my future. There have been instences of art steeling by AI art genereters, there have been many more instences of AI art genereters used to undermine the work of artists. Graphic designers, and animaters are underpaid, overworked, overwhealmed, and work in bad working conditions already. Do you want to make the situation even worse? You can help, by simply support artists, and listen to us. I recoment the videos that were made by Cosmic Spectrum Art, and Jake Parker., and mewTripled made. Three videos that can be a really eye opener. AI art genereters are not a tool to empower anyone exept for the rich. It's taking away my choses, and future. And not just mine, it does to to many artists. It will make it harder for us to get our art know, and to make a living. And we can't even talk about it, because then we are told we are over thinking it, and shut down almost instently, then are told to be open minded, when all we did to consider us, and be open minded towards us. Even when we ask, will people ever want to support artist, or learn art, and drawing because of AI, which is an actually consern, we get nothing, but sailenc. My only chose for my future if AI will take away my life goals, and dreams (I'm planing on going to college next year to study animation, a form of art) then my only choses are eather become a hosewife, and hope my housbend doesn't turn out to be abusiv, and (even if he is kind, and not abusiv) live an unfulfiling life, knowing that I faild, or because a prostitud, which is the worst option because of I would disapoint my mother, and my enetry family, I would be looked down by everyone, if I get abused people will treat me defrently then other victoms, if I get preagnent and don't have the acess to abortion, then my child would be out casted, and shame because of me, the dangers of stds, and I would be an easy target for rapeists, and murderurs. I hope you understand this. And I hope read this.

Hey Alexandra, thank you for this comment. I hear what you're going through and really feel for your struggles. I'm so sorry that the AI Art generators are making you fearful for your livelyhood, I can barely imagine how damaging that must be for you. Unfortunately, we're in a position where this technology is becoming a part of day to day life. The progress that's allowing these models to do what they do has a momentum that is unyeilding. When people say you're going to have to embrace this technology, it's because stopping the progress of anything like it has never worked before. I will say on a personal level, this technology has made me more invested in the world of art, not less. Being able to see my ideas come to life, as made me more interested in what artists have done before me. I went to an art museum last weekend, and was and to admire the work of masters more than I ever had before. I may never be your customer, but these models aren't lessening my consumption of art they're actually increasing it. I hope that gives you some glimmer of hope.
