The little girl in the video is her sister. The shoes are grandpa's. The portraits in the hallway are her grandfathers, the notebook contains her original lyrics for this tune. There's a slower version of this from a concert in Norway that is gut wrenching in it's intensity. Thanks for your perspective.

She was very close to her maternal grandfather and wrote this after he passed. He told her to never regret what she does and he would always be with her. She also wrote the story for this video. At 14!

"Million Miles" by Angelina Jordan is the song and artist which allowed me to complete the grieving process for 5 loved ones lost in a 3+ year timeframe before the pandemic. The key to this beautiful song is, it provides HOPE by reminding us we are never alone. Angelina has said she has written more than 100 songs and we have heard 14 to date. Here is the list. "What is Life" first sung at age 11. We don't know how old she was when she wrote each song. Age presented is her age when she first sang it. Angelina is 14 here. Yes she wrote this song after the passing of her maternal grandfather. Some of the lines are based on things that he actually said to her such as he would be watching her from the moon. Angelina says that she created the storyboards for the video. She also said that when she was recording it in the studio, the tears were flowing. In the video Angelina’s sister Juliette plays a young Angelina and her uncle Mike plays her grandfather (Mike’s dad). Her family members appear in several of her videos.

I am usually logical and analytical to a fault, but when I accidentally found Angelina when looking for videos of a young French guitarist, I was immediately stunned by the emotions that I felt while listening to her. In all of my 65 years of listening to music, I have never been so affected as I am when listening to Angelina. From watching many reaction videos and many of the Wrapped In A Warm Blanket podcasts, I have learned that many others have had the same experience. If you had to succinctly describe HOW she does this to so many of us, what would you say? I have flogged my brain, trying to understand it, but I am no closer to an answer. You are to be applauded for not interrupting the song. This is the first reaction of yours that I have seen. Angelina is the ultimate storyteller in music. I see that you have only reacted to three songs, song by Angelina. I would recommend that you move up to some more recent material just to see what she is today, and then casually return to the over two hundred covers she has claimed as her own since she was 6. One would be, "Unchained Melody" she performed at the Nobel Peace Prize Award Presentation Ceremony is Angelina's birth country Norway in December last year. Also, her performance with famous songwriter Toby Gad in the Church singing, "If I Were A Boy," made famous earlier by Beyoncé in 2009. I am unaware just what you know of Angelina's career, but you will be educated here in the comments by us, "Angels," as Angelina calls us, her fans. You are getting to know the finest female vocalist to ever live. There has never been another with her combination of talents. She is 6'1" tall, is now 18. English is her third language of 4. She has been signed to Republic Records since she was 14 but not heavily promoted until now as she and family want her to be mature to handle her modern music career pressures. Republic built her a recording studio last summer. Enjoy the best!
