Angelina has said that she wrote the song for anyone who has lost someone, but she was thinking specifically about her grandpa and all the great memories she had with him. She also said that, when she was in the booth recording it, her tears were really flowing. By the way, I’ve heard the song dozens of times and I still cry every time. FYI, her uncle plays her grandfather here, her little sister plays a younger Angelina. The portraits on the wall are her two grandpa's, both now gone. The sweater and shoes are, of course her grandpa's. The notebook toward the end is where Angelina wrote the original lyrics and has her original artwork used in the lyric video.

I have a feeling that each time she looks at the Moon she remembers him, I would guess that whenever they were apart, Angelina could look at the Moon and know that grandpa could see it. The words are heartwrenching and so very beautiful. They get you deep in your heart and especially if you yourself has lost a loved one. You need to watch her studio version of this song as well!! The studio version hurts your heart so much as well. The studio version is raw Angelina singing her heart out. It was her 1st release after signing with republic records. So there was the emotions from that combined with the emotions of this song. I guess in an interview she had stated she could not stop her tears from flowing. That is apparent. Just a beautiful heartfelt reaction Jen to our Angel. She poured her heart and soul into this song she wrote for her beloved Grandpa, (picture on the wall) who passed in 2019. Her other grandpa had passed a few years before. The little girl in the video is Angelina's little sis Juliette and the man portraying Grandpa is her Uncle and Manager Mike. My eyes could not see her, but my mind saw her face smiling and nodding. My grandpa left me a great gift. The gift of communication, regardless the people i am talking to, he guids me. Nice emotional reaction. We know pretty good what happens after we die, nothing. It's same as what you were before you were born, nothing. Life moulds you to be who you are etc. experience. Ya It's good to keep those close to you who died, in your memories and think about the happy times with them. I mean if it makes you feel better that you think about them watching over you, even if they are dead, go for it, no harm in that to anyone. Then again it's good to learn to accept death as part of our natural world around us and enjoy the time we have with our loved ones and make good and happy memories as much as possible.

Jen I share ur tears because my mother lied about my real Dad until i was 47, until I found out whats going on. My stepdad who was my real Dad because I only have real knowledge about him cause he was most of the time with me, passed away when I was 30 made me connected to this Song so hard and also to your Story. Now my life feels like a mess and I think its too late to clean it up. So it seems like some birds starting through when they spread their wings and the other try and just break them fallin to the ground.
